    “Nicola” is a historical screenplay set in the European provinces of the Ottoman Empire in the middle of the 19-th century.

    The violent times of the Ottoman Empire’s collapse and disintegration when the two other European powers, Britain and Russia, are expanding their influence over the European territories of the empire economically and politically.
    It is the story of a renowned architect and builder of churches, bridges and schools who’s believes of peace, progress and knowledge are violently crashed during an uprising in the provinces. The boy he saves from the slaughter becomes the one who saves him.
