Jay owns a moving company that has been tasked with cleaning out a mansion in Savannah Georgia. He was given instructions by his office assistant, Susan, that everything was going to be sold at auction except the items in the attic which were to be thrown away. While cleaning out the attic, Jay stumbles across a glass Santa with special properties that boasts of its ability to find him true love by Christmas. Chapter One
Jay Wiggins lifted the top sheet on the clipboard and scanned the second page. Did you get the list of everything we’re supposed to deliver to the auction house from the Klaas estate?
he called from across the office of the Precision Moving Company.
I was told verbally that everything in the house goes except the items in the attic,
Susan replied.
Frowning, he released the top page and let it return to the clipboard. Walking over to the counter, he asked, What are we supposed to do with the items in the attic?
Toss them.
They’re awfully trusting of us.
You’ve built a good reputation for honesty, Jay.
He lightened up his expression. Maybe I can find something in the attic to recoup the money we’re losing on this deal.
I guess you’ll have to handle this one personally.
She grinned.
