About this ebook
: Dennis Herrell writes both serious and humorous poems about his life in this civilized society. He finds his poems by keeping his eyes and ears open and his mouth shut. Mostly. He really likes to write short funny poems and haiku that have a little sharp bite to them—and this time, he really had fun writing about those small, little pesky (sometimes beautiful) creatures that make people so individual and vulnerable. In this case— INSECTS! Yeah, Bugs! And Dennis lives in a big state with plenty of little creatures—Texas. He calls the almost sub-tropical city of Houston his home.
Dennis loves his 1920’s bungalow in the old historical Heights district of Houston. Mosquitos also love his home, and they love Dennis. But there are also plenty of butterflies, dragonflies, moths, crickets, grasshoppers, bees, ladybugs, and lots of all the other usual suspects.
So, come visit Dennis in his book of little poems about the small world of some miraculous little creatures that surround us.
Have a little laugh, and perhaps a little sigh of wonderment, too.
