About this series

Angela Smith, psychic manipulator of people's emotions—and in trouble with the government. Constant surveillance versus going rogue? Not even a question. Angela runs away to sunny Los Angeles, where being a blue-eyed blonde won't make anyone bat a false eyelash.

Silver-screen star by day, superhero by night, Arktos uses his glimpses of the future to keep Los Angeles safe. When a frightening vision of an explosion leads him to rescue a damsel in distress, he finds himself trading Shakespearean insults with a rogue.

Revealing her identity means a return to constant government surveillance for Angela.

And the rules say Arktos should turn the rogue in…

But together, they just might be able to melt all the obstacles standing between true love for a hero and a rogue.

What does he want more: the world, or the woman he loves?   If you believe the rumors, you know that Doctor Charm, the wickedly sexy super villain, retired in shame seven years ago after his last fight with the super hero Zephyr Girl. The fact that the charming Evan Smith—father of four and husband of the too-beautiful-to-be-real Tabitha—bears a resemblance to the defeated Doctor? Pure coincidence. And, please: ignore the minions. The only problem in Evan's perfect life? Tabitha wants to resume work. Looks like the Morality Machine in the basement, dedicated to keeping Tabitha hungry for him—and only him—needs tweaking. Because of the super villain thing, of course. Not because he worries for Tabitha's safety if she returns to super-heroing. A charming, heart-warming superhero story about life after marriage, and the lengths that even a supervillain can go to for love.

Kaddy Chaak's career is in jeopardy, her social life is non-existent, and instead of spending the holidays at home with everyone she loves, she's in the hospital with her chronically-ill, probably-dying nephew Everett, wondering if her dead sister could have fixed this. The one bright note in an otherwise bleak winter is a potential visit from the Polar Terror, the only super villain north of the 66th parallel, to make little Everett's hospital wish come true.  Kaddy's not really expecting him to show. At best, she expects a lackluster cosplayer with a half-hour to spare.  What she gets is a swoon-worthy stranger full of secrets, who might just sweep her off her feet--and maybe help her leave the past behind, once and for all.  A heart-warming stand-alone addition to the popular Heroes and Villains series.

Author

Liana Brooks

Liana Brooks once read the book GOOD OMENS by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett and noted that both their biographies invited readers to send money (or banana daiquiris). That seems to have worked well for them. Liana prefers strawberry daiquiris (virgin!) and will never say no to large amounts of cash in unmarked bills. Her books are sweet and humorous with just enough edge to keep you reading past your bedtime. Liana was born in San Diego and in addition to there has lived in Illinois, Colorado, Florida, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Kansas. We'd like to tell you where she is right now, but last we checked she was researching books on both Alaska and Africa. Not only are the bookstore algorithms breaking trying to track this lady, but we can't tell you where to mail that daiquiri. Your best bet is to try Twitter where you can often find @LianaBrooks talking about her four kids, her giant dog, and plans for world domination.
