About this ebook

All Ophelia Hope wants to do is run her catering business, hang out with her best friend and hopefully one day meet her prince charming. But like Cinderella she has an evil stepmother and stepsister trying to belittle and use her at every given chance, which is how she finds herself catering a model event for her stepmother, who will do anything to land, not only the job but the man for her daughter. Unfortunately, or fortunately, for her she catches the eye of the very man her stepmother is trying to land, owner of the company himself, Baker Cartwright, and he wants to make all her dreams come true, but she knows nothing good can come out of a man like him chasing a girl like her, so like Cinderella, she takes off.
Baker Cartwright can’t understand how or why he was roped into coming to this modeling event, yes, he owns the company and yes, the model chosen will be the face on his new product and on his arm for the unforeseeable future, but he really doesn’t care who the vapid creature is. Its not like he will have to talk to her or have anything to do with her except to stand beside her for a few events. But then he see’s the curvy caterer and decides she’s the woman for the job and for him. He’s used to women falling all over him so when she does a runner he’s shocked and intrigued, now he’s more than determined to make this Cinderella his happy ever after.
But when people conspire to keep them apart it’ll take more than Baker’s determination to get and keep them together, it will also take two very determined fairy god-friends who will take down anyone standing in the way of their friend’s happiness, and maybe find the start of a happy ever after for themselves.

I can can usually be found plunking away at the computer or arguing with one of my characters, (which means talking to myself), in my batcave. I'm an avid reader of just about everything in print but I LOVE romance. Johanna Lindsey, Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught and Jude Deveraux are who I cut my teeth on. I can remember hiding under the covers with a light reading because I had to finish that last chapter before I went to sleep. My grandmother fostered my love of reading, encouraged me to read whatever I could get my hands on. I love insta-love, happy ever afters, alpha men and sassy women. I still love all the above mentioned ladies but now have new authors to add to my 'have to read' list. When I'm not writing I can be found playing with my beautiful granddaughters and my handsome grandson, reading anything I can get my hands on, and daydreaming about traveling the world. I'm addicted to ancestry and trying new recipes my sister makes. I'm her official taste-tester and will fight tooth and nail to keep that title. Chapter One

Ophelia! Seriously, your sister and her little band of sheep fucking pop off about you one more fucking time I’m going to put my size eleven up their boney asses! You don’t need this, I don’t know why you are even here. Dane, Ophelia’s best friend muttered as he walked over to her, looking like he was ready to do battle.

She pinched the bridge of her nose and shook her head, she really didn’t know why she was here either, she didn’t know why she had let her mother talk her into this shit!

Ophelia Alexandria Hope owned and operated a catering business that her mother liked to take advantage of all the time, like today for instance. Ophelia’s mother ran a modeling agency and was trying to land a big contract with this company. She was hoping to land Ophelia’s younger sister the deal, but she had invited some other models to make it look like she was offering a selection to choose from. And for some reason they all like to pick on Ophelia, they always had.

Ophelia never understood it, they were all model thin, long blonde hair, fake as fuck, Barbie doll look alike. She used to imagine the dolls being arranged with their legs open waiting on Ken, staying frozen like that until someone picked them up to play again and would give a chuckle, sometimes to their face, causing them to notice her and making them pick on her harder. Like right now, giving a chuckle, making one of the Barbies look her way, an ugly sneer gracing her flawless face. She had a head full of red hair, and a thick curvy body, she was no Barbie doll, and in her mind, couldn’t compete with them. She’s never tried, so she didn’t know why they wouldn’t leave her alone.

Hearing her chuckle, Dane leaned in and whispered, Your thinking about their legs straight up and waiting, aren’t you? You are so bad. He chuckled, then turned around to give the glaring Barbies a sneer. His look always had the effect of shutting them down, like they couldn’t understand why someone so hot wouldn’t be overwhelmed by their beauty.

I know Dane! And I know there is no way I can ever repay you for helping me. Could you just hold it together for a little longer, please? She pleaded. Dane was her best friend, has been since high school, when he found out she was going to get asked to the prom, as a joke, he stepped in and asked her. With him being hot as fuck, she said yes. On the way to prom he pulled over and told her about the plot, and she told him about a plot to trick him on prom night also, and she was determined to protect him to. They each would do anything to protect the other to this day against anything and anyone.

One of these days you are going to have to just tell your family to fuck off, or I’ll step in and do it for you. Love you Lia. Dane said as he walked off before she could say anything, knowing he was right, but also knowing that day probably wouldn’t come any time soon for her, for Dane, probably today if she didn’t keep him away from her sister.

Baker Cartwright sighed and looked to his assistant, he knew he had agreed to this, but he was also pretty fucking sure that he had said he wouldn’t have anything to do with it, other than signing the fucking check.

Why again, do I have to be there? I don’t give a fuck who you pick, just pick who the fuck ever you want and I’m sure I will agree. He said in exasperation, he had never had to micro-manage his team before, he didn’t understand why he was having to now. His assistant, Justin rolled his eyes.

You have to be here to help chose because you will have to make appearances with the women, and wouldn’t you like to know if you could get along with her? The last time someone was chosen for you, you were pissed and called her vapid, cancelled all the arrangements, and we had to buy out the contract, remember? Justin pointed out. Baker scowled, not liking being reminded.

She was vapid, I really expected better than that, and quite frankly its past time for you to admit you made a bad call there. Justin started sputtering and laughing, he wouldn’t admit it, but Baker was right, it was a wrong decision he had made, but what the hell did he know, he was gay, he figured Baker would like the outside package.

How in the hell can I pick someone for you? I’m gay, she seemed like she would be fun for you, how the hell would I know, actually she seemed like a bitch, but like I said, what do I know, I’m gay. Justin shrugged his shoulders and walked over to his desk and picked up his iPad. Baker watched him with narrowed eyes, he couldn’t say anything, the man did have a point, but he hated being wrong dammit.

Let’s, get downstairs and get this over with, there are a number of beautiful women, ready for you to look them over and make their dreams come true. Justin said with a snarky smile. Baker gritted his
