    Fast forward to the late 80s and early 90s, I embraced a more antagonistic approach which gave fuel to the fire - labeling me that hoodlum that would never make it to his 21st birthday; a common stereotype for young black adults struggling to find merit in society. The influences of delinquency, drug dealers, and lack of mentorship was all the reasons for me to fail. The bright spot was that I found hustling as a great source of income to being financial dependent in university. 

    The cold streets of North and South Philly guarantees nothing when you are a hustler. I know and almost lost my young life numerous times in the game. Fortunately, it was God's grace and then my street smarts that has allowed me to tell this story of my young adult life struggles.
