Salmon Bones
Night's end thanks time
and tear of friends' embrace.

Raindrop
slides to tip
of vinemaple leaf,

of gathering weight
and falls followed
by another.

run together
a lace of life
to adorn growth
or death
the same morning.
Forest and garden glisten
in a rivermist
sitting on the valley.
Golden Ears ripens
in the gradual light
over Mission and Surrey;
Whistler and Garibaldi
