About this ebook
Enter the tale of the dying Obsydian Star. Its enemies believed she crumbled under the pressures of war, the truth; she decayed at the hands of time. A cycle to end for life to be renewed. This, she intuitively knew, so seven pieces of her material broke off and given to a trusted few. These six particles would give birth to her children and the seventh particle would remain elusive, until the girls and boys were ready. They would grow up to become the Obsydian Star warriors, the protectors of high worlds and dimensions.
We start this journey with the basics. A fun roller coaster ride with fluttering sparkly creatures, mind bending magical tricks, and the occasional barricade. But the ghetto teens will coast down to reality, slammed with the truth, particular truths of their origin and the truth of the worlds at large. They burn in the ashes in order to ascend, to rise through the fire. These Black youths know the reality of all the magic they were denied and now the warriors will watch the world unfold in colors they never knew existed. This is their story, their venture to ascension.
DhNAi Harmony
DhNAi Harmony has been writing since she first learned to construct a complete sentence. It took her years to find the genre that resonates the most with her. She grew up reading books for her age, but wanted a challenge. Her mother allowed the young girl to read one of her “grown up” books. The material being entirely inappropriate for the 10-year-old, but her mom knew her child was mature enough. DhNAi wanted to read books with Black faces in it, but there was only so many times she could read Cheetah Girls and the few young adult books geared towards African Americans that one could find. So, instead she devoured a bevy of urban or hood literature and for some time it shaped the stories she wrote. She wrote about tales and lifestyles that she was clueless about, she fashioned stories that mirrored the movies with people with similar skin to her own. It wasn't until she was 15 when she desired something more, something that truly fit her. The fantasy adventure she felt she was denied based on her complexion. DhNAi went to the drawing table and crafted an epic tale, for her eyes only. This single novel written over a decade ago led to dozens of stories throughout the years. Here is where some of those tales will be unleashed. She was yearning for variety, the flavor of her own unique culture and people, intertwined with the imagination of the Fantasy genre. And so, she created what best fit her and she'd love to share this journey with others. And now she's gonna stop talking about herself in 3rd person. Hello all, welcome to my world!
