    when even heaven is no guarantee.

    HOW BE HAPPY?  BE FREED FROM ENEMIES:

    "Freed from evil's lies and hypocrisies,

    freed from wrong views and assumptions in life,

    freed from wrong values adopted in life.

    TILL YOU'RE NOT FREED, LIFE IS A MISERY;

    matters not, though  you have all the money.

    The enemies are not those around thee,

    the greatest one is right there within thee.

    WELCOME TO THIS BOOK OF EXPOSITION,

    of motivation and world correction.

    may they lift your heart, liberate your soul!

      Evils Are Forever

      IF THERE IS HAPPINESS, THERE IS SADNESS.

      If there is debacle, there is success.

      If there is protection, there is peril.

      If there is rectitude, there is evil.

      ––––––––

      ACCEPT THAT EVEN IF GOD COMES AROUND

      and starts the world the second time around,

      as sure as the sun will rise in the east,

      there will sprout again an EVIL SPIRIT.

      ––––––––

      OUR MIND WORKS LIKE A FAULTY PENDULUM:

      "It swings, say, from gloom to glee, glee to gloom,

      or from good to unkind, unkind to good,

      from end to end of the mind’s latitude."

      ––––––––

      FOR INSTANCE, AT BUS STOP, MIND’S ON THE RIGHT;

      it swings to left—when a damsel alights.

      You see a friend coming—your mind turns right;

      it turns left—when here comes who gave you slight.

      ––––––––

      TILL MAN’S MIND DOES HAVE A LEFT AND A RIGHT,

      till there who’d rather choose left than choose right

      like steal than work or amass than share out,

      though a hundred restarts, evil shall sprout.

      ––––––––

      BY GIVING MAN FREEDOM OF MIND AND VOICE,

      it seems ills entered our world by God’s choice.

      To an all-knowing God this sounds downcast,

      whose love for the world cannot be surpassed.

      ––––––––

      BUT WHAT IF WE PUT OURSELVES IN GOD’S SHOES:

      "By giving man the full freedom to choose,

      God proves a God of love that overflows,

      for what kind are we if led by the nose."

      ––––––––

      THUS, IT’S NOT GOD WHO ALLOWED THE TURMOILS,

      it’s man by wrong moves himself he embroils.

      To blame God is to say we’re demented,

      robbed of any sense of what’s life what’s dead!

      ––––––––

      SO WHY CHANGE THE WORLD WHEN EVIL STOPS NOT?

      I still say:  "Renew the world we yet must!

      A field of wheat with li’l weeds here and there

      is better than field of weeds—wheat nowhere."

      ––––––––

      ALL TOLD, NO WAY WE CAN PUT OUT EVIL

      for as long as we’re having this free will,

      and there are roads for good and for evil,

      and God seems to be just standing there still.

      ––––––––

      Amen.

      Goals & Wishes

      A GOAL WHEN ONLY DREAMED OF IS A WISH;

      over time, in the mind it will perish.

      A wish when firmly pursued is a goal;

      over time, it’s a fixture in one’s soul.

      ––––––––

      TURN ALL YOUR WISHES INTO PURSUED GOALS;

      actions are greater when pushed by the soul.

      Stand out among an ocean of wishers,

      whose dreams were so sweet, their end so bitter.

      ––––––––

      HENCE, IF YOU’RE NOT SO KEEN ABOUT YOUR GOALS,

      what you really have are WISHES—not GOALS.

      Don’t you try to pursue any of them,

      one obstacle and you will discard them."

      ––––––––

      AND ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU WILL FAIL,

      not due to obstacles along the way.

      You will only fail when you turn your back,

      stating to your heart you’ll never come back.

      ––––––––

      WHEN EACH TIME YOU SHOOT THE BALL IT’S A MISS,

      it’s not a failure but ‘lack of practice.’

      But the moment you call it ‘QUITS’—that’s it!

      All are completely buried and finished!

      ––––––––

      IF YOU’RE NOT SINCERE WITH YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS,

      so be it, follow your notions and whims.

      Happiness is a choice—not one reposed! 

      Better be honest than be ill-composed.

      ––––––––

      BUT, BE THAT AS IT MAY, THERE IS THAT LAW,

      it is so strict, to it you can’t say no.

      "What you don’t do today—[begins the law]—

      will eventually cost you tomorrow."

      ––––––––

      IF YOU DON’T STRIVE TO SAVE MONEY TODAY,

      if you take for granted your HEALTH today,

      if you don’t raise your CHILDREN well today,

      tomorrow, for all of them, you will pay.

      ––––––––

      THEREFORE, IF AT ONE POINT THERE IN YOUR LIFE,

      you sense you’re not getting much from your life,

      think not it’s due to those things around you,

      it’s those you ought to do but did not do!

      ––––––––

      LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE WITH LIBERATING GOALS;

      stop wishing wishes, start pursuing goals.

      If the lights of your goals and dreams are off,

      there’s no happiness to even speak of!

      ––––––––

      Amen.

      Happiness Is Blind

      POSITIVITY HAS NO COPYRIGHT

      to all things that can make one feel alright.

      Each can be happy in his/her own right,

      whether one is in darkness or in light.

      ––––––––

      IF ANGELS WILL BE UNEASY IN HELL,

      the devils, too, in a heaven-like dell.

      If God is so pleased with his creation,

      Satan, too, in bringing world destruction.

      ––––––––

      THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE MAY JUST BE ALL

      as happy as the positive people.

      The self-seeking people may just be all

      as joyful as the generous people.

      ––––––––

      THE DISHONEST PEOPLE MAY JUST BE ALL

      as proud as the honorable people.

      The murderous people may just be all

      as untroubled as the gentle people.

      ––––––––

      IT DOES ALL DEPEND ON ONE’S COMFORT ZONE,

      acquired through nurture or perhaps inborn,

      in the likes of fish—happy when swimming,

      or birds—at their happiest when flying.

      ––––––––

      A PERSON ATTUNED TO THE NEGATIVE

      is happy being in the negative,

      while a person used to the positive

      is happy being in the positive.

      ––––––––

      A PERSON WHO LOVES RUNNING DOWN PEOPLE,

      seeing them flourish is deplorable.

      A person who loves commending people,

      seeing them suffer is regrettable.

      ––––––––

      IF A MISER IS HAPPY WHEN HOARDING,

      while a spendthrift down when he’s not splurging,

      a corrupt is beaming when he’s stealing,

      while a rogue downcast when not damaging.

      ––––––––

      OH, HOW MUCH WE PITY THE STREET CHILDREN,

      how we strive to give them a li’l heaven.

      So we put them in the institution;

      but they are sad—street is their comfort zone.

      ––––––––

      WE ALWAYS FACE NEW CHANGES WITH ANGER;

      any that disrupts our peace is bother.

      But like cancer growth, we learn to accept;

      then comes happiness—whether right or left.

      ––––––––

      Amen.

      No Money, No Life!

      THEY SAY FOOD IS LIFE—WELL, SURELY WHY NOT!

      Without food how can body live at that?

      The problem is—food we’ll surely have not,

      if that one thing called MONEY is there not!

      ––––––––

      THEY SAY WATER IS LIFE—SURELY WHY NOT!

      Without water how long can body last?

      The problem is—water we can have not,

      if that one thing called MONEY is there not.

      ––––––––

      THEY SAY HEALTH IS LIFE—WELL, SURELY WHY NOT!

      Without health can life yet be life at that?

      The problem is—treatment we can get not,

      if that one thing called MONEY is there not!

      ––––––––

      THEY SAY EDUCATION IS LIFE—WHY NOT!

      Sans education, what now with our lot?

      The problem is—schooling we can get not,

      if that one thing called MONEY is there not!

      ––––––––

      IT SEEMS ANYTHING THAT COMPRISES LIFE,

      money should be there to give a thing—life!

      Hence, if we want to live a secure life,

      hit the bull’s-eye—MONEY!—our breath of life!

      ––––––––

      MONEY’S LIFE!  DEAD IN MONEY, DEAD IN LIFE! 

      Truly, if you do want to stay alive,

      you do only have two choices in life:

      Have money! Or have one to give you life!

      ––––––––

      OH, ALMOST ALL ROAD SIGNS POINT TO MONEY;

      where money is greater, there go many.

      To those who disagree that life’s money,

      they’re made of spirit, without a body.

      ––––––––

      BUT AS WE SEEK A LIFE THAT MONEY GIVES—

      a life in the body that makes us live,

      let’s too not forget, life that God supplies—

      a life in the spirit that never dies.

      ––––––––

      LIFE THAT MONEY GIVES BRINGS JOY TO HOLDERS—

      as the rich get richer, poor get poorer.

      Life that God supplies brings life to others—

      as the rich get richer, poor get fewer.

      ––––––––

      IN THE END, WE’LL BE JUDGED NOT ON HOW WELL

      we’ve enjoyed the gift of life looking swell,

      but on how well we’ve treated each other

      as brothers and sisters in one Father.

      ––––––––

      Amen.

      No Problem, No Life

      IN BASKETBALL, THE AIM’S TO SHOOT THE BALL—

      dribble to the ring, throw it in the hole.

      But the real fun’s not in shooting the ball—

      more than in opponents who’ll block the ball.

      ––––––––

      WHEN PLAYERS GET BLOCKED, THEY WON’T THROW TANTRUM,

      curse the blocker, and off the court they zoom.

      Each will take the block as part of it all; 

      how joyful they are when they make a score!

      ––––––––

      NOW, TAKE THE OPPONENTS, WHAT HAVE YOU LEFT? 

      You and your ball! Of excitement—bereft!

      And when the game is robbed of excitement,

      the game is dead, no more players are meant.

      ––––––––

      SIMILARLY, LIFE IS LIKE BASKETBALL,

      problems do come to block our shots at goals.

      We simply take them as part of it all;

      what a joy to lick one with all our soul.

      ––––––––

      NOW, TAKE THE OBSTACLES, WHAT HAVE YOU LEFT? 

      Just you and your breath!  Of fun it’s bereft!

      If games have rivals, life has challenges.

      To a sore life, they are the lozenges.

      ––––––––

      WHERE’S THE JOY IN REAPING WITHOUT SOWING?

      Where’s the fun in winning without fighting?

      Where’s the thrill in arriving sans moving?

      Where’s the cheer in getting without reaching?

      ––––––––

      NOTE WHEN PROBLEMS WE LACK, WE MOVE NOT MUCH;

      then comes a point we have relaxed too much.

      And so once again, we rise and stand up;

      somewhat looking for problems we can tap.

      ––––––––

      TILL YOU SEE PROBLEMS AS SCOURGES LIKE WARTS,

      you cannot live life with bliss in your heart!

      Start viewing problems with mind of the wise,

      they are opportunities in disguise. 

      ––––––––

      IF PROBLEMS TO YOU ARE SCOURGES REALLY,

      then run away from them, if them you see.

      Though, run to a place that is problem-free, 

      lest you’ll be running for eternity.

      ––––––––

      ALL SAID, OF PPOBLEMS THERE ARE TWO NOTIONS:

      "Either they’re causes for celebration,

      or they are causes for man’s damnation."

      Where you’re happiest, yours is the option.

      ––––––––

      Amen.

      No Variety, No Glee!

      ACCEPT THAT WHEN GOD CREATED MANKIND,

      he made each of us one of distinct kind.

      So distinct, no two are alike in fact—

      in the way they do look, talk, think, and act.

      ––––––––

      HENCEFORTH, IF YOUR APPRECIATION LACKS

      in the way others look, talk, think, and act,

      no one can help you abolish the wrath

      than to accept that hard fact in your heart.

      ––––––––

      FURTHERMORE, IF YOU GOT IRRITATED

      by how others have looked, talked, thought, acted,

      how far higher your irritation hike,

      if we all look, talk, think, and act alike.

      ––––––––

      ACCEPT THAT FROM MAN, ANIMALS, PLANTS, TREES,

      all the way to the heavenly bodies,

      God fashioned all things in varieties.

      Without the variety, there’s no glee!

      ––––––––

      WHEN GOD MADE TREES, HE PUT VARIETIES.

      If you’re grape and wished all are strawberries,

      or you’re mango and wished all are kiwis,

      it can’t be—no variety, no glee!

      ––––––––

      WHEN GOD MADE FLOWERS, HE PUT GREAT MEDLEYS.

      If you’re a rose and wished all are lilies,

      or you’re bluebell and wished all are daisies, 

      it can’t be—no variety, no glee!

      ––––––––

      WHEN GOD MADE BEASTS, HE PUT DIVERSITIES.

      If you’re a camel and wished all are bees,

      or you’re lizard and wished all are monkeys,

      it can’t be—no variety, no glee!

      ––––––––

      WHEN GOD MADE HUMANS, HE TURNED OUT SUNDRIES.

      If you’re black and wished all are Japanese,

      or you’re white and wished all are Sinhalese, 

      it can’t be—no variety, no glee!

      ––––––––

      BUT YOU THINK YOU’VE GOT THE UNWANTED SIDE:

      "Your nose is flat, your eyes are rather wide;

      worse, you have Down Syndrome, no one desires."

      Certainly the glee fits not every size.

      ––––––––

      LOVE WHAT YOU’VE GOT AND DO PLAY YOUR PART HARD;

      we can’t all be kings, all of royal blood.

      In looks we vary, in spirits be glad—

      we are all equal in the eyes of God.

      ––––––––

      Amen.

      See with Eyes, not Mind

      PLANT A TREE, APPLY POSITIVITY.

      Don’t water it, just believe it will be.

      Throw in some prayers, involve the deity.

      Trust hard you might, the tree will never be.

      ––––––––

      PLANT A TREE, APPLY NEGATIVITY.

      Care for it, but believe it will not be.

      Don’t ever pray for it, none of deity.

      Doubt hard you might, still a tree it will be.

      ––––––––

      NATURE HOLDS THE TRUEST REALITY.

      She dictates if wishes can come to be.

      Negative or positive she cares not,

      it’s conformance that makes one right or not.

      ––––––––

      OH, SHE RECOGNIZES NO RELIGION,

      none of political persuasion,

      none of age, sex, health, and social station.

      Whoever obeys will have fruition.

      ––––––––

      YOU CAN’T CREATE YOUR OWN REALITY;

      well, you can—but will take eternity.

      You, too, can never cheat reality;

      well, you can—but just temporarily.

      ––––––––

      THUS, SEEK CONFIDENCE IN REALITY,

      not in your over positivity.

      For truly, there’s no positivity;

      to nature there’s  just one:  Reality.

      ––––––––

      REALITY IS FOREVER TRUTHFUL—

      she never jokes, plays pranks, tells lies, or fools.

      Hence, check first if there’s water in the pool,

      lest when you dive, it turns into blood’s pool.

      ––––––––

      OR CHECK FIRST IF LIONS ROAM THE FOREST,

      lest not one part of you be laid to rest.

      Or check if you know what you’re going to say,

      lest the audience boo you and walk away.

      ––––––––

      LET NOT YOUR OVER-POSITIVITY

      gloss over an ugly reality,

      just as your super-negativity

      doom a so pleasant actuality.

      ––––––––

      REALITY IS COLORLESS AS AIR,

      it is man who colors it dark or fair.
