Notes
Introduction
Mathew 6:23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
(NIV; italics added)
Something is drastically wrong with our institutional church. This book is a compilation of over ten years of writing. During all this time I have been reaching out to our institutional church leaders for answers. Answers to questions we may have all asked. Questions like how can our science and our church be so far apart on the age of our planet? This is not the first time science and religion have had such a dichotomy. In the 1600s, the institutional church would kill those not believing the Earth was flat and the center of the universe. How is today any different? The scientific community has an overwhelming amount of evidence as to the age of the planet. As it turns out our understanding as to the age of our planet is instrumental in understanding the biblical prophecies. This entire book deals with this.
So why is it our leaders will not answer questions? Why will they run when a parishioner asks questions about church doctrine?
They know something most of their parishioners don’t. If the age of the Earth were proved to be old it would have a very drastic effect on the church. Not only would it show the church has been teaching something incorrect it would also undermine much of other doctrine. If someone were to believe the Earth is over four billion years old as science tells us, how would they reconcile what the church teaches about the serpent in the Garden of Eden?
An old Earth would undermine what the church has told us about what happened in the Garden, that God transformed a beautiful creature in the Garden into one which had no legs, transiting it into a snake. If you believe the Earth is old it follows you believe snakes have been crawling on their bellies for millions of years. As they have been. The Bible is not incorrect. Man’s interpretation of it is. History has repeated itself.
Our church leaders, the same ones who have told us the Earth is flat and the center of the universe are also telling us the Earth is 6000 years old. They are also telling us about the prophecies. With an equal degree of accuracy.
These three verses tell us the end day prophecies will be sealed up until the time of the end:
Dan 8:26 The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.
(NIV; italics added)
Dan 12:4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." (NIV; italics added)
Dan 12:9 He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end." (NIV; italics added)
Our institutional churches are in massive violation of these verses. In their arrogance they have formed a false narrative about the end day prophecies. For generations they have been teaching to a false narrative. As we go further into the end days, we will see the narratives we have always been taught will unravel. Many will not accept this. As they did not accept the teachings of Christ and his apostles because they went against the institutional church. Many have put their faith not in God but the institutions which claim to be advocating for God. They are not and neither do they have the preponderance of the truth.
Something is drastically wrong. History has repeated itself. Our institutional church has led many astray. We need to wake up before it is too late. The end day prophecies are upon us.
Chapter 1
Galileo
In the year 1633, Galileo was convicted of heresy, his crime, he disagreed with the institutional church (IC) on the shape of the Earth. Galileo, looking through his telescope determined the Earth was not flat and certainly not the center of the universe. It did not matter that he was correct, what mattered to the IC is that he conflicted with its doctrine and heresy is a serious offence. It carried the death penalty. Galileo was fortunate his punishment was house arrest for the remainder of his life. How did this happen? The masses were wrong in their belief and held on to this false belief so adamantly they were willing to kill for it. What happened to Galileo is very important to us as we will see in this book. Oddly enough, it is more important to us now than it was to the Catholic church in the 1600s.
To understand why this is so we have to understand the dynamic of our institutional church. The Catholic church alone boasts a population of over 1.1 billion members. As we will see history has repeated itself, but now it matters urgently. The dynamic being the IC keeping people from the truth with little consequences. Today is no different except there are great consequences from being blinded from the truth. Today our IC is keeping us from another truth which has hidden the end day prophecies from us.
In order to see this, we have to start at the beginning in the book of Genesis. Before we do this, we need to revisit that IC in the time of Galileo and look at exactly what happened. We need to do this because it is happening today as it happened in the time of Christ. The nature of man has not changed.
The entire book is about this. We will see exactly what the prophecies in the book of Revelation and in the book of Daniel are telling us and it will be something drastically different than what you have ever heard.
Christians today know something is drastically wrong. They are unsatisfied with what they hear in their IC. They know but can’t quite put their finger on it and they are worried because they see the end day events happening all around them and it is not fitting with what the IC has been telling them for generations. They (the IC) are as unwilling to admit fault as was the church which killed Christ and of the church that convicted Galileo.
In this book we will uncover this and explain all those prophecies which the IC has put no meaning to.
Starting from Genesis, chapter one: 1:16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
(NIV; italics added)
From these verses the IC in the time of Galileo determined the Earth was flat and at the center of the universe. For us, not being in their ignorance, it’s easy for us to see their ignorance and not so easy to see our own though. We will talk about this much, much more.
Our position in the universe was obviously a mistake in interpretation, none the less, it was a doctrinal tenant in those days. As is the doctrinal tenant today of the Earth being six thousand years old.
But how could the Earth being flat make its way into IC doctrine? It was not expressly or implicitly implied in the scripture but it was a teaching of the church and a false one.
In the time of Christ, he was almost thoroughly rejected by the IC. We have to think very clearly about this. Jesus Christ had attributes we don’t have. He had perfect knowledge of the scriptures, he had perfect articulation and he had a perfect understanding of human nature. The religious leaders could not trip him up on the scriptures and he performed miracles in front of them but still they rejected him. How could this be? How could even Jesus not get through to them? They were so entranced in their false doctrine they could not see the truth when it stood in front of them! This dynamic, one of man believing they had the preponderance of the truth was the same dynamic as the IC in the 1600s.
To understand this, we turn to Isaiah 29:13
13 The Lord says: These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.
(NIV; italics added)
The church, sixteen hundred years after the death of Christ was teaching something false. They were teaching man’s
truth. The dynamic in the time of Christ as it was in the 1600s was the same as in the time of Isaiah. In all these times the IC’s thought they had the preponderance of the truth. The members of those churches would defend their church doctrine with their lives. They would not accept the truth even from Christ, so strong is that dynamic.
Here is the big secret. Today’s churches are no different. Nothing has changed. The church in the 1600s taught as truth something which was not in the Bible. Today’s IC churches are doing the same thing. History has repeated itself. If you believe this not to be so, then you need to answer a question. Why do we have such different doctrines between the denominations?
In my town in Virginia, a church performs same sex marriages. Another church a few miles down the road preaches adamantly against it. How can this be? It’s either right according to God or it’s wrong. It can’t be right in one church and wrong in another. Same issue with abortion. One church teaches its members in the right for a woman to choose to terminate a pregnancy but in another abortion is an abomination to God.
So where does the truth lie? If you say, "the truth lies here in
