      Great book! The 80/20 principle is a game changer. This book is a little wordy for non-analytical minds so if you prefer more colorful reading you may have to push through to grasp the idea. I still highly recommend it!

      Incredible book. Richard Koch is my new intellectual hero.

      The 80/20 principle has become somewhat popularized in the last 5 or so years. A lot of people think that just because they've heard about the concept, or because they shallowly know *about* the concept, that they've gotten all there is to it. Not so!

      Richard shows that there is a far cry from actually *living* life the 80/20 way (which demands that you make tough decisions and learn to prioritize better). You have to take this idea very very seriously and apply it to more than one area of your life.

      I have to say I am a great fan of the book and the principle. It is not exactly intuitive that life does follow that principle, but generally speaking, it is better to do those things which yield greater results than those which do not, and it is worth spending some time just thinking about this in most areas of your life. Some argue against the principle and there is a rather half-hearted attempt at the end of the book to deal with some of the objections. Richard Koch did not invent or discover the principle, the much neglected (sadly) Italian economist Pareto did and Koch pays due homage to the man. There are numerous illustrations of the principle in the book, and some have criticised it for this, but for me.

      after reading this book my behaviour on many thinking process,learning process has been changed and i feel like i know amny things,The author does a good job of developing the characters just enough to cause you to fall in love with them (or to hate them) but with enough mystery surrounding them to make them still seem like real people. It is amazing how short a period of time such a large book fills, but this is accounted for by the extensive detail given to scenery and depictions of events as well as extensive conversations which take place for seemingly no reason except character development. After reading this book you feel that you have spent the past week with the characters, just hanging out and getting to know them. The themes that carry throughout the book are truth, natural gifts, race, and innocence.

The book teaches what can be done specifically to apply the principle. Some parts intersects with "Simplify!" book.I highly recommended

It shows how to apply the 80/20 Principle to your personal and professional life in order to work less, earn more, enjoy more, and achieve more. The main idea: in business and personal life, “pursue those few things where you are amazingly better than others and that you enjoy most,” and eliminate or outsource everything else.
