      Introduction

      Welcome to the Step by Step through Daniel: Study Guide! This small group curriculum was developed to answer the difficult questions regarding the Book of Daniel, one of the most intriguing yet most misunderstood books in the Bible. Can its prophecies be understood? We argue that God desires for us to know what the Book of Daniel says to us today and that many of its unfulfilled prophecies can be grasped when we take an in-depth look at its contents.

      Throughout this study, we will refer to a learning tool we call the four pillars. As you’ll discover, these four pillars represent four specific areas of action that will take place in the end times. As we investigate these prophecies together, we’ll be able to place the various aspects of Daniel together in a timeline that will help explain the events that will unfold in a user-friendly manner.

      Along the way, we’ll also refer to several Scripture passages throughout the rest of the Bible to help explain the prophecies of Daniel. Of course, in five weeks we cannot cover every detail of this magnificent book, but we can provide a framework for a lifetime of study. Rather than looking at Daniel as a confusing book, you will be able to say you understand its central message and long for the fulfillment of God’s plan for eternity.

      We look forward to how this study will help you both better understand your own Christian faith and how it will help you in sharing your faith with others. Through it, we hope you will be better able to contend for the faith (Jude 3) as well as to show Christ’s love to those in need.

      For Your Group

      The Step by Step through Daniel: Study Guide is uniquely designed to help provide an opportunity to hear from top experts on Bible prophecy as it relates to today’s current issues. We encourage group discussion, with groups of no more than twelve in size, or to divide larger classes into smaller groups for a portion of each study to discuss questions. Group leaders (or table leaders in larger groups) are responsible to direct each meeting, prepare for each session’s study time, build relationships with group members, and seek to involve each person in a meaningful manner. Through this personalized combination of quality teaching and interactive discussion, we have designed each session to provide an educational and life-changing experience for each person
