I really liked this book. The way the cultures of the various neighbors are not spelled out or given too much attention to makes it seem more like a melting pot instead of pointing out the differences. The inclusion of the soup recipes was very nice too. This could be used to show how many cultures have similarities. It would be great to read it and then actually make one or more of the recipes.
