      The Cynical Sheikh by Barbara McMahon is book number one in the Ultimate Billionaires series. This is Laura Toliver and Sheikh (Tal) Taliq's story.Tal thinks that Laura is after his cousin just for his money. So, Tal misrepresents who he is so he can convince Laura to choose him over his cousin then he will drop her. Tal is doing this to protect his cousin. What if they really like one another? Has Tal made a mistake in his assumptions of Laura?I loved this book! Laura and Tal's characters were so much fun. I felt like they were my friends. This is a great start to a new series. A refreshing, fun, and entertaining romance!I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

      Barbara McMahon has proven she can write any type of romance & involve the reader & their emotions. From the beginning I was involved in this story & had to keep reading to see how far Tal would take the charade. Rather than being interested in him as a strong always ha male, I could easily picture him as an arrogant, selfish jerk with no regards to another persons feelings. Laura comes across as a fairly innocent young lady with high personal standards. This was a very enjoyable read & I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a true romance without the over done sex scenes in so many of today's books.
