About this ebook

What about reading a novella that centers around a PTSD Service Dog?

Those incredible animals have an 88% success rate in helping veterans cope with the anxiety, turmoil, and strain of dealing with Combat Related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Their success rates with victims of other forms of trauma are just as high, if not higher.

Demon, Michael and Rosaline are fictional characters, but the struggles they faced in this story affect millions of people, not just Americans, daily. PTSD isn't strictly a sad side-effect of military service; it is the human minds natural response to a traumatic event that is so overwhelming and heinous that the victim is incapable of dealing with it on a normal cognitive or emotional level. Anyone can develop it.

If you or people around you have that trauma, and if you think you need help with PTSD, you do. Please get it as soon as possible. This is a fictitious novella, yet, it might help you, one way or another. But... Don't think for a moment that you can deal with that beast on your own.

With that said, the author hopes that you will enjoy reading this one.

Comments from beta readers:

"This is a moving, genuinely *satisfying* story. Your two leads are engaging, sympathetic, and -- perhaps most importantly – credible. I'm fortunate not to have experienced either PTSD or homelessness in my life, and I've never been in the military, but Michael and Rosaline read like utterly realistic examples of people who have had those experiences. Wonderfully done!"

"I was married to a Viet Nam Veteran for 20 years. He never opened up those wounded places. They festered to the point, our marriage did not survive. We both loved dogs and had a few German Shepherds. But times were very different back then. Dogs did not hold the place they do now Your story is revealed with thoughtful language skill. I appreciate the stories within the story of an older 'wounded' man, finding/rescuing a young woman who is also "wounded". I would add, the dog holds a special place in the story. He becomes the glue that begins the healing of the deepest relationship between all of them. It did my heart good to read your story. Thank you!"

"I loved this, without a doubt one of the best stories I have read. Truly loved the message that is being sent about PTSD, wonderful plot. Great job and keep up the good work!"

"This should be made into a movie or mini-series. Excellent story and one that needs to be out there and told."

"I really enjoyed this novella. I will hopefully look forward to reading more of your books in the future."

"I was intrigued by the title: within a paragraph, I was hooked. Thank you for such an entrancing novella. I shall search out your other books now."

"This story was quite the tale. Having it center around not only Demon, but the two healing because of him was amazing. It enhanced the story."

"I am a US Marine and was spared combat. Most of my real scars are from childhood. Many still haunt to this day. My brothers in the corps were the only ones I really trust. I've had some relief from therapy, but when it gets really dark, I back up. Still working forward though. Thanks for the book, you are now helping me to face some more of my demons."

"I'm old enough to remember seeing the many WWII veterans who returned from battlefields and battleships who had all of the same symptoms you describe as PTSD. A couple of them were my uncles and many were dads of my school mates in the late '40s. Your book is as heartwarming as it is beautiful. Thank you."

"I'm amazed by your talent. I love a book that leaves me with a huge smile and a feeling of peace."
