About this ebook

How does God say Christians are supposed to fight evil in a fallen world?

This book explores the Lord's instruction on how we can fight the good fight of faith in complete peace, through the power of Jesus Christ, while surrounded by evil, until the Rapture

The Whole Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to Jesus Christ, my Family & You. The Lord, Jesus Christ, was crucified and died on the cross to gain your eternal victory-your eternal salvation- almost 2000 years ago.

All you have to do to accept His eternal salvation offering of redemption, is receive Him as your Lord & Savior, and you will live in Paradise forever- and escape the hell on earth right around the corner; escape the flames of eternal damnation in the lake of fire.

    Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

    John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

    Chapter 1

    The Armor of God

We are in spiritual warfare everyday, whether we know it or not. It is a constant back and forth battle. As a Christian, you must make the decision to go into that battle in the Armor of God. Satan’s main objective is to get you out of that spiritual armor of God and into the flesh. If Satan can get you into a flesh state, he can do damage.

Choosing to Live in the Spiritual Realm

Yes, as human beings, we are here in the physical, fleshly state, but we choose whether we are going to live in a spiritual, God,Jesus Christ focused state. If you are just going along everyday without communicating with God through prayer or just talking to and acknowledging God or if you don’t believe in God, then you are in that flesh state. You are limited to only the resources you can see and experience.

The Power of the Spiritual Realm through Jesus Christ

In a spiritual, God, Jesus Christ focused, disciplined way of living, you are protecting yourself when you wear and utilize the Armor of God. In addition, you are also able to leverage the resources of God, Jesus Christ, which are infinite, and certainly not based on your own understanding.

Jesus Christ has the ability to go into your future for the victory for you- did you know that? Who else can do that? Everyone else can plan and prepare for a victory, but Jesus Christ is the only one who already has the victory.

    Which would you choose?

Right now, if you were going into war, which would you choose? The most powerful people with all the resources, along with the approval of all the people supporting you OR Jesus Christ?

You can have all the money, weapons, armies of the world, most powerful people on the planet, and everyone supporting you for the victory. Everyone, willing to do whatever you ask of them to help you win...

    Or

    Jesus Christ.

    Which would you choose?

Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of all lords. God, Jesus Christ, trumps all the others combined. So when you are going into battle- when you are in a war- just remember- all you need is Jesus Christ.

How can you leverage Jesus Christ in your life right now for all of your battles?

Learn the discipline of utilizing the Armor of God...

Let’s take a closer look at the entire Armor of God listed in Ephesians 6:10-18 starting with the belt of truth in Ephesians 6:14:

The Belt of Truth and the Breastplate of Righteousness

    Ephesians 6:14

14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

Feet Fitted with the Gospel of Peace

    Ephesians 6:15

15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

    The Shield of Faith

    Ephesians 6:16 (KJV)

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

The Helmet of Salvation & the Sword of the Spirit

    Ephesians 6:17

17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

    Prayer

    Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

    The Armor of God

    1. Truth: In all things- living in Truth. The Truth shall set you free.

    2. Righteousness: A daily discipline of living in righteousness according to the Bible.

    3. The Gospel of Peace: The Gospel of Jesus Christ- The words of the Bible will give you peace that you can walk in everyday.

    4. Faith: Having Faith in Jesus Christ in all Situations and Your Future protects you from worry and stress. Doing what you can and giving your life and situations to God is the most powerful protection you can have.

    5. Salvation: Receiving Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Savior. The helmet of salvation protects you for eternity.

    6. Spirit: The word of God. It is called the Sword of the Spirit because there is nothing more powerful than God’s word.

    7. Prayer: Prayer is an action, an act of faith. One of the most powerful things you can do is pray in the name of Jesus Christ for you, your family, friends, and all situations. To persevere, you need prayer!

    Chapter 2

    The Helmet of Salvation

We’re all mortal humans. We face death everyday. We aren’t guaranteed anything in this life except death and taxes, right?

The two places we end up after this life, for eternity, heaven or hell, are even more important to consider, and seem to be missing from the topic of conversation these days.

Everyone is in a battle for their souls- whether they realize it or not! This is a temporary battle right now for where we will spend eternity.

    The Helmet

Have you ever seen a football, hockey, race car driver, motorcycle racer, etc. go into a game or race without a helmet? Can you imagine how long they would last if they didn’t wear a helmet?

If you go through this life without wearing that helmet of salvation, it’s basically the same thing. You may make it through this life without struggle and even without worry. You could have a lot of money or you might be poor. It makes no difference.

Some of the richest people on earth are not saved!

Can you imagine having millions or billions of dollars, but losing your eternal salvation-spending eternity in hell- in a lake of fire- because you never received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

Those who are saved will live in mansions in paradise foreternity!

John 14:2 King James Version (KJV)

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

    How to Get Saved

That whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life...

John 3:16 New International Version (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 10:9-10 New International Version (NIV)

9 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Don’t face another day, another moment without the helmet of salvation. Get saved right now- the rest of these battles in life on this earth- are all temporary. The war for your soul is eternal and already won for you by Jesus Christ. All you have to do is receive it.

    The War

We all have daily struggles, daily challenges, different battles, but the war for your soul is the most important thing you can focus on if you haven’t received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

The Most Important Thing You Can Do While You Are Alive...

The most important thing you can do while you are alive is get saved-Win the War- receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; you are protected for eternity the moment you do this.

But that is just the beginning. It’s not the beginning of Jesus Christ’s journey with us though, it’s the beginning of our realization of the journey He has been on for us, with us, our entire lives up to that point.

    Are you saved?

If you are saved- if you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you have the helmet of salvation.

If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you don’t have a helmet!

None of us know when we are going to die or exactly when the Rapture will happen, but when either of those two events happen- and you aren’t saved- it’s too late.

What happens if you aren’t saved?

If you dont’ have the helmet of salvation, you will face eternity in the lake of fire, whether you believe it or not.

When you die, if you don’t have that helmet of salvation, you spend eternity in hell. Nobody knows when they are going to die, that’s why it is so important to take action as soon as you have heard that message of salvation and get saved.

Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price with His life, when He sacrificed Himself on the cross, so you could spend eternity in paradise, instead of a lake of fire, if you only receive Him as your Lord and Savior.

    What Exactly is Paradise?

That is a whole other topic, but in short, think of Paradise as your best experiences here on earth- your greatest dreams- multiplied by a thousand - for eternity.

It’s probably even greater than that, because of the infinite creative dimensions and experiences we will have in that life everlasting.

The devil wants you to think of eternity in paradise as boring- he’s the ultimate deceiver! The devil never created anything except deceptions and illusions!

God is the only one who has the ability to create anything out of nothing. He created the entire world in 6 days and on the 7th day He rested. Where did the materials come from that created the universe?...

    He created them!

    How Long is Eternity?

    It’s literally beyond our comprehension...

    Here’s an example...

A bird flies by Mt Everest once a year and brushes the tip of it’s wing against the great mountain each time it passes. Let’s say that bird can supernaturally live forever...When the entire mountain is dwindled down to dust, eternity has just begun...

    Who can get saved?

It doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful you are. It doesn’t matter how great of a person or how horrible of a person you are. It is not by works that you get saved.

There is no amount of good works that you can do to get you into heaven. It is only by the blood of Jesus Christ that you are saved. Receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and recieving the gift of His sacrifice for you is how you are saved.

You always have the opportunity to get saved and receive your helmet of salvation while you are alive, but you never know when you die. You can’t see the future. Anyone not saved, is going to the lake of fire for eternity if they don’t get saved.

Don’t face another day, another moment, without the helmet of salvation. Get saved right now- the rest of these battles in life on this earth- are all temporary.

The war for your soul is eternal and already won for you by Jesus Christ, but you have to receive it by receiving Him.

    Matthew 10:28 (KJV)

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

    Chapter 3

    The Shield of Faith

How important is the Shield of Faith?

    The Shield of Faith

    Ephesians 6:16 (KJV)

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

In Ephesians 6:16 it says Above all - that means- highly important!

    Trials and Tribulations

    James 1:2-8

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

What exactly is this Shield of Faith though?...

The shield of faith is simply trusting in God in all things. It’s a rather simple concept, but maintaining the discipline of actually trusting God is a work in progress.

When we start out as Christians receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior; we begin our journey of building our faith, but we are not strong in the faith starting out.

    The Faith Journey Cycle

We may be inspired, excited, and grateful to be saved at first, once we’ve received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, because at that point we know where we will be spending eternity-in Paradise- with
