    First published in 1896, "Rodney Stone" is a British literature masterpiece by Scottish writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Set in Sussex County, the novel is a Gothic mystery and boxing novel reflecting two social different worlds. The story follows a young boy, Rodney Stone, with an interest in mischief, exploration, and boxing.

    Rodney Stone and his best friend, Jim Harrison—the relative of a blacksmith and former boxer—have always been drawn to dark and dangerous places. When they wander into Cliffe Royale, an old, deserted mansion that was the scene of a gruesome murder fifteen years earlier, they’re both frightened and strangely excited to cross paths with a ghostly figure...

    Arthur Conan Doyle

    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1859. Before starting his writing career, Doyle attended medical school, where he met the professor who would later inspire his most famous creation, Sherlock Holmes. A Study in Scarlet was Doyle's first novel; he would go on to write more than sixty stories featuring Sherlock Holmes. He died in England in 1930.
