Nature And Things - Shane Ervin
THE GREATEST BEING OF ALL
Tree, tree, tree
Oh how beautiful you appear to be
Being the greatest being of all
Spreading your arms far and wide
Growing high above the sky
So bold and defined
Tree, tree, tree
Oh how beautiful you appear to be
In the spring showing new life
Till the fall when you sleep like death
Through the winter of ice and snow
When spring finally arrives again
Then you appear anew, reborn
Tree, tree, tree
Oh how beautiful you appear to be
Until the monsters of the world
Consumes you for greed
Till one day you disappear without a trace

All that is still
In the burning fury of the night
Only the quick and strong
Run all day and through the night
To escape the giant furnace
Fire burning bright
Everything in its path
That glows in the night
Only the ones that stand their ground
Won’t survive the night
In the huge pillar of flames
Burning bright in the night
SPARROWS FLY AGAIN
Sparrows in the wind
Sparrows on the ground
The words escape me
Borrow a little time
To feel the
