About this ebook

This book contains assorted poems for which i could find no other natural home. As such it represents Odds & Sods and Bits & Pieces. These poems were compiled into this book in 2012 when i first started releasing poetry via Gutenberg Self Publishing. They do not appear in chronological order, and are split into four parts based on the length of the poems.

Mu Pi Chan

Mu Pi Chan was born in 1959 in a house that was then in the County of Essex, but which now lies within the London Borough of Havering. He was brought up from a very early age just outside Southend-on-Sea (Essex). He spent three years at the University of Kent at Canterbury (Kent), and has subsequently lived In St Albans (Hertfordshire), Guildford (Surrey), and Romsey (Hampshire).Mu Pi Chan has released a number of volumes of poetry (through Project Gutenberg) covering the period 1973 to 2019. Most of Mu Pi Chan's poetry is inspired by the world around him, particularly the natural world and the people of which he is fond. Other sources of inspiration are the works of other poets and books on philosophy, science, and religion. His poems include a number of parodies, jokes and poetic aphorisms based on these readings.Mu Pi Chan firmly believes that writing poetry allows him to release the thoughts in his head which would otherwise drive him mad.

    Consolidation - Mu Pi Chan

    Part 1 - Three Lines

    (2000 - 2009)

    Black bat

    How you dance

    Above white water

    (23 April 00)

    Damp thoughts

    The rain cries

    Against the windows

    (26 April 00)

    Sunshine

    How bright

    The walls across the street

    (17 June 00)

    Beneath a starless sky

    I walk

    With heavy heart

    (25 June 00)

    So low

    The horizon

    Is only millimetres away

    Feeling low

    The sunshine

    Barely touches my spirit

    (30 Sept 00)

    Driving in the fog

    Eastern England

    Beyond my grasp

    (19 Dec 00)

    Beyond the words

    Thoughts so deep

    You can get lost

    (29 Jan 01)

    Racing river

    How white your face

    And long your tale

    (30 May 01)

    My way now clear

    A foggy frosty path

    Which takes me home

    (09 Dec 01)

    The floods are less

    So carefully i pass

    By roaring water

    (19 Jan 03)

    Moving my bowels

    The world

    Suddenly lighter

    (24 Jun 03)
