The story of Osei Betumi, the Mystical Man in this book is based on a mystical and supernatural character called Osei Boa-Amanfi, whose real name is Asebu Amanfi. Asebu Amanfi was the superman of the ‘Gold Coast’ now Ghana many years ago. The story has been created through a myth. However, some of the names used are true or real names in Ghana. In addition, the story reveals the rich Ghanaian history and culture throughout the book.

Osei Betumi or OB in short, is also a modern day super hero for the African continent whose super human and miraculous powers enables him to overcome adversity and difficulties of others in his community. He is a dedicated, selfless individual inculcated with dignity and respect for local customs, with empowering composure. He also has the desire and ability to assist those in need. Let these adventures illuminate the mind of the young and dedicated fans – finding within it the wisdom to act as good and well-rounded persons for the benefit of themselves and for the good and progress of their community and society as a whole.
