A 24-hour-a-day gig that demands her to focus on promotion while looking ahead to the next city.

    Brett Hill released five albums, is a Grammy winner, and has toured with stadium-filled crowds. He loves what he does and he's doing it well. His only love in life is music. He connects with his fans through enthusiasm, appreciation, and charm. An energized entertainer that keeps you smiling and singing along with him. His good looks, athletic physique, and his country charm has given him a long list of women. Until he meets his publicist, Andi Scott. She's different, professional, and has his back. But as the tour begins, he falls hard for the book publicist from Virginia.

    Complications arise along the tour when a photo of Andi outside Brett's hotel room is leaked and then Andi's ex shows up out of the blue. As if she didn't have enough to juggle and an inevitable attraction to Brett; Andi must protect the reputation she's built and keep the tour running smoothly. She's scared to fall in love and become a number added to Brett's list. He assures her he can't live without her – on or off stage. One night of escape from the madness of life on tour leaves them both to wonder if it's really love on tour they've found.

      Brett smiled. Thanks for joining the team.

      Andi thanked him. I also read you maintain a strict diet on the road. Can I get a copy of that? And, your personal trainer’s contact information.

      His eyes were drawn to the motion of her foot slipping in and out of her shoe. Her action made him want to take those shoes off and put them under his bed. Brett quickly reminded himself to keep it professional. This woman had some effect on him. Many women in his past had. But this one was different. Sexy as hell, even in a business suit, he could only imagine what she’d look like in a pair of tight denims. Professional, Brett. Keep it professional.

      Brett confirmed Rick had everyone’s number and his diet. You are organized and thorough.

      Andi smiled. I’m here to make sure your tour runs smoothly. I want you to feel your tour was time well spent. With that, despite the hard work, the long hours, and the hand sanitizer–. Andi laughed. He enjoyed her humor and joined in laughter with her. She smiled. Then it becomes time well spent for your team too. Those moments all add up to a great tour.

      Brett stood. Sounds like you have my back.

      Andi stood too and nodded. I do. So many cities in so many weeks. After a few days it’s hard to remember which day it is or what city you’re in. I’ll be the one backstage to remind you.

      She laughed. So, you don’t yell ‘Hello, Virginia’ when you’re in Cleveland.

      Chapter One

      T wenty cities in five weeks is nothing new. I don’t need time-off. Book publicist, Andrea Andi Scott grabbed her coffee cup from her desk. In frustration, she took a swig of coffee that had already gone cold. With an abruptness she didn’t expect, she reached for a tissue and wiped away the remnants from her mouth left behind from that mistake. At five-foot-six, in a three-inch heel, the small-but-mighty, shoulder-length blonde began to pace across her corner office. Any publicist would give their left arm to work at New York’s most prestigious publishing company, Book Publishing, Inc. Andi had given everything, including her heart and soul. She worked around the clock. Barely slept, forgot to eat, and couldn’t remember what a social life entailed. Jake Richards wanted her job. Andi knew it. He may not have said it but his actions around the office in the past six months yelled it out loud. Her manager, Rita Tanner, constantly assured her it wasn’t the case. Jake was young, energetic, and just trying to make his mark. Andi knew damn well his intentions were to make his mark in her corner office. At thirty-one, she’d spent five years working day and night to make her mark. Rita attempted to get a word in while Andi paced.

      And those five weeks successfully put Tom Lee’s book in the top ten on the New York bestsellers list.

      Andi darted a look at Rita she knew expressed her anger and frustration. If I’m wrong about Jake trying to steal my job, why are you suggesting I take a leave?

      Rita laughed. Not a leave, Andi. A well-deserved vacation. Rita reminded her she hadn’t taken one in the five years she’d been with the publishing house.

      Andi stopped pacing and argued she had taken a vacation. I have. Twice, last year. She remembered taking the time off to meet her mother’s fiancé and his son. And then for the wedding.

      Rita stood and placed her hands on Andi’s arms. Two long weekends don’t count. If you don’t rest— Rita dropped her hands to her hips. Then Jake will make his move when you’re burned out.

      Andi looked into Rita’s eyes, searching for honesty. So, he does want my job.

      Rita smiled. Honey, every publicist in New York wants your job. Rita made her way to the door and turned. From her perfect coiffed hair to pedicured toes, Rita—like her business—was always in place. At five-foot-seven, with a three-inch heel added, Rita always towered over Andi, but she never felt intimidated by her boss. Rita had class, experience, and Andi’s back. You have four months of vacation banked.

      Before Andi could reply, she saw her assistant, Morgan, in the doorway. Rita left Andi’s office with three words. Think about it.
