About this ebook

Overlap is the first book by Indian writer Mayukh Chatterji, a collection of 25 poems that speak about parts of our realities that do exist and those which we wished existed, stories and of course, romance.
Mayukh has a blog on which he kept writing for over 10 years before finally deciding to do something about his writings. His blog attracted a lot of readers for his poems, stories and articles. In spite of a day job as an engineer, he sat down and wrote poems, designed the cover himself and published his first book.
The book contains poetry from all his experiences from his life, his trysts with various people, relationships, stories he read and his adventures. But these poems apply not just to him, but to anyone who can identify with them.

For Ma, Bapi, Diya & Piya

"Your job is not to figure out how it’s going to happen for you, but to open the door in your head and when the doors open in real life, just walk through it. Don’t worry if you miss your cue. There will always be another door opening. They keep opening.

And when I say, life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you. I really don’t know if that’s true. I’m just making a conscious choice to perceive challenges as something beneficial so that I can deal with them in the most productive way. You’ll come up with your own style, that’s part of the fun!

Oh, and why not take a chance on faith as well? Take a chance on faith — not religion, but faith. Not hope, but faith. I don’t believe in hope. Hope is a beggar. Hope walks through the fire. Faith leaps over it.

You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world and after you walk through those doors today, you will only ever have two choices: love or fear. Choose love, and don’t ever let fear turn you
