      NE DAY IN DECEMBER IS A NOVEL WRITTEN BY JOSIE SILVER. LAURIE and Sarah are housemates. They have been friends since college and are now fresh out of the university and starting their careers in communications and journalism. They have come to regard each other as sisters and share everything together. But they fall in love with the same guy, Jack. Laurie, not believing in love at first sight sees him at the bus stop while she rides home. They lock eyes for a moment and she is convinced he is the man for her. But the bus moves on and for a year she doesn't see him again although she had been wishing she would bump into him. Sarah hopes Laurie will find him too because she wants her friend to be happy. Meanwhile, Sarah falls in love with Jack, totally unaware that he is Laurie's bus boy that she had been looking for. She introduces them and Laurie decides not to tell the truth about Jack to her friend. Unknown to her, Jack remembers her since that first time they saw each other at the bus stop.
