      Cited by the media as a mayor who will stir every American's interest, Buttigieg is the mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He is 36 years old, a Democrat, and admired for his visionary politics. He had a thriving business when he decided to move back to the place where he grew up. He found his hometown a dying Rust Belt city that posed as a challenge for him, a Harvard and Oxford-trained  aspiring politician. He tells how he transformed the city to a well-functioning one. Readers learn how he held meetings with the city's population on school basketball courts, how houses unfit for the living were made liveable, how violence and gun issues were resolved, and how high tech companies opened offices and operations in the city.
