Crystal Dawn

When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. She has always told stories and even written some but publishing books didn't start until 2012 with The Rebirth, was the first of the Planet Amazon books. Crystal has also been lucky to have some wonderful beta readers who keep her on track and help inspire her.Secretly, she crushes on all her sexy heroes because all her stories end happily. That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure. When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.

    Phoenix Under Fire:

A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Aries

There is a battle brewing, and the witches are looking for allies. Annie's father plans to force her to mate a male of his choice at the behest of his brother. She wants her fated one and casts a spell to find him. Problem solved, right?

Ramiros wakes up with sand up his nose. What happened to his nice comfortable bed? When he finds the person, who dumped him on the beach thousands of miles from home, there will be hell to pay. He almost felt sorry for the fool who'd chosen to mess with a Phoenix.

As this book ends, it leads to Dragon in Distress which is more enjoyable and easier to understand if read after Phoenix Under Fire.

    Dragon in Distress

A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Virgo

Sophie needed to find her fated mate to avoid being forced to mate someone of her Uncle’s choosing. Her cousin spells for her fated one, but an angry dragon shows up. This wasn’t at all what she expected.

Knossos wakes up and he’s not in his lair anymore. Someone has dared to summon him out of his slumber. The guilty party turns out to be his fated mate, so he can’t burn her to a crisp. He wasn’t really ready for this, so what’s a dragon to do?

    Pegasus in Peril

A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Capricorn

Meeting Herkules at a dinner at her sister’s place had been weird. They’d gotten along so well. Too well maybe. But now he didn’t write or call. Had she been wrong? Was he not her mate and he’d realized it first? Or was he like Gertie’s mate, unwilling to settle for just one female?

Herk was taken with the female, but he couldn’t give in. He’d even considered going ahead with it. But these were dangerous times and claiming a mate just wasn’t in the cards. He looked back regretfully before he flew away.

Will love escape them or will they do what they must to claim their own little piece of happiness?

    Unicorn’s Unease

A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Pisces

Julio didn’t know much about love, but his mate was challenging everything he wanted in life. That couldn’t be right, could it? Maybe he was wrong about her being his mate, but he felt bad now that he’d gone back to the plains leaving her behind. No matter what he did it seemed to be wrong.

Janel had thought she’d found her one and only, but he’d left without a backwards look. She tried to date, but he was the only one on her mind. For now, she would pour everything into her job and eventually things would settle.

Two stubborn Pisces who each think they are right. Will they give in or face a life alone?

    Vampire Vengeance

A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Scorpio

Darby Darknight was at a loss. Gertie was his fated mate, but so far all she’d done was make him the laughingstock of people he didn’t even know. His fault, he supposed since he’d arrived after she had. Now he needed to get back her regard and claim her as a mate while they chased a vampire set on vengeance against his whole race. Easy, right?

Gertie Worthington wanted to be anywhere but here. Oh, it had been amusing at first. Darby had ended up on the wrong side of everything. Now it was so bad she felt sorry for him. That wasn’t good and he might use that to his advantage. All she wanted to do was go home.

    Unicorn Unleashed

    Zodiac Shifters: Sagittarius

Jespers didn’t know what to think of Daphne the lovely witch. If she wasn’t crazy about unicorns to the point of being obsessed, he’d mate her.

Daphne was half in love with Jespers, but he wasn’t a unicorn. She’d always known her true mate would be one so what was a witch to do? Maybe the mate summoning spell since it had worked for her cousin.

Will things work out for two lovers so unsure of each other? Can they just learn to trust their hearts, or will they have to learn the hard way?

    Book 7

    Phoenix on Fire

Cam is upset that he’s been sent to the HQ in South America to take over operations. He’s been partnered up with Diamond, Ram’s sister. She’s beautiful, smart, and tough, but clearly not his mate, or is she? How will he keep his hands off her when she clearly doesn’t want him?

Diamond can’t believe her parents are sending her to work with Cam. He’s her mate, but she’s not ready yet. Sure, he’s sexy, smart, and strong, but she wants to be all she can be in the business before she’s kept barefoot and pregnant. Everyone knows the views he had on women when he was younger. She’s just as sure those views haven’t changed.

Compromise between these two-independent people? Is that even possible?

    Book 8

    Warrior Wolf

    Zodiac Shifters: Taurus

Grant is a werewolf warrior sent to fight in South America out of the large base they have there. He's itching to fight, and he wants to mate Jaclyn the lovely witch who came there recently.

Jaclyn is a young but talented witch sent to aid in the fight. She’s lost here where her professional exterior doesn’t fit in, and she needs to get back to her wild witch roots.

Can these two different people manage to work together and find something special that’s growing between them?

    The thing about a Taurus…

This sign is for those born between April 20th and May 20th. This is an Earth sign that a bull represents. Many of these bullish people like to relax in serene environments surrounded by sweet aromas, gentle sounds, and good flavors. The sign is ruled by Venus, the planet that rules money, beauty, and most of all love.

These bulls enjoy comfort and luxury in any form. Being pampered is just one of those forms. In a perfect world they would lay around being massaged, rubbed with essential oils, and relax in the tub all day. These same bulls aren’t afraid of a hard day’s work. They are resilient, focused, and ambitious when it comes to work. Knowing the value of a dollar is what these earth signs are all about. Bulls can be stubborn to the extreme.

Bulls can be patient when needed. They can also be practical, devoted, responsible. If needed they are also stable and reliable. Weaknesses are their stubbornness. Also, they can be possessive as well as uncompromising. Considering these weaknesses, how can two bulls get together and make things work?

    Prologue

Grant has watched Jaclyn for a while now and they’ve not grown any closer. What does this mean? Could it be that they were not meant to mate? He wished he could say since he feels something for her. They both seem to be the quiet type at least until they get to know someone. Stubbornness also seems to be a part of both of them. She’s worse, of course.

In his case, he’s quieter and tries to work things out. Jaclyn just makes up her mind and refuses to change it. Maybe she’s decided not to accept him and that will be it. She looks at him sometimes when she thinks no one notices. He sees her when she stares at him. It excites him and makes him want her even more.

His wolves have seen her too. They are quiet, but they send him messages. Most of them have told him they feel they belong together. She’s gotten better at the job she’d been given, and they feel safer now than when they started. He’d be pleased to go home with her, but he’s sure that won’t happen anytime soon.

Gertie and Darby are already making plans. Cam and Diamond slipped away and now they are without many that can transport a crowd. When Gertie goes, who will be left besides Jaclyn that can do it?

    Chapter 1

    Change is in the Air

How had he come to this point? He wasn’t sure but he was hopelessly in love with Jaclyn. How did she feel? That was hard to say since she gave no hint. They stood in front of Gertie getting their orders and neither of them said a word.

It’ll be alright. You two are going to an underground facility. You’ll only take five wolves because it should be an in and out. Grant, you pick who goes then go right away. Gertie said as Darby nodded in approval.

Something made him feel bad about this trip. He picked the five best because he felt he had to. His males looked nervous, and Gertie and Darby were hiding an excitement. She handed Jaclyn something and she nodded. Gertie smiled in approval. This was her cousin; didn’t she love her? He would wait and see what happened, but the bad feeling just grew.

They gathered around in a circle, and he looked at Jaclyn. A flash and they were gone. The smell of damp earth circled them, and cells were in two long rows with the path they were on between them. These cells were full. Guards were there too, but they hadn’t seen them yet.

Jaclyn was crazy as she got a group out of a cell then led them back to him and his wolves. She was halfway there when bullets started flying. His witch stopped as the prisoners headed to him, and she waved her hands at the guards. Half of them fell to the floor but the other half kept shooting. Red blossomed on her chest a clear sign she was shot.

Another wave of her hands and the rest of the guards fell, but she was barely standing. He ran to her, taking her in his arms to hold her up. She was the only one that could take them out of here. He practically carried her back to the group and he and his wolves circled the prisoners from the cell, and he held hands with Jaclyn. A flash and she sent them to HQ.

His witch was passed out and Gertie was there in seconds. She flashed her to a healer, and he felt completely left out. What in the hell had happened and why had he been left out? This shouldn’t ever happen again.

She’s alright. Gertie whispered. Do you want to go see her?

    Yes. His voice cracked.

Joanie will be around for a while. She’s learning. The other healers are resting up after helping Jaclyn and the prisoners. Gertie admitted.

You should have warned me. He directed.

There’s no way you would have agreed. You are too attached.

She almost died. Had she, all of us would have.

But she didn’t, and we got what we needed. Gertie pointed out.

He had nothing more to say. It was time to find his witch. The healer’s room wasn’t far, and the healers scuttled out of the way. Jaclyn lay pale and unmoving as her body fought to heal itself quickly. His hand reached out for hers squeezing it to let her know he was here. Her eyelids flickered before they opened, and she looked at him. Grant. She whispered.

    I’m here.

Good. Her voice was weak as she stared in his eyes.

He didn’t know what to say or do, but he was relieved she was healing. Thank the goddess it looked like she’d be okay. Her eyes seemed to roll back in her head as she was out once again. She’ll be okay. You’d best get some rest. Tomorrow might be another busy day.

This was undoubtedly Joanie. Since she was in charge of healing, he decided to do as directed. Jaclyn needed her rest, and a little bit of rest wouldn’t hurt him either. His wolves had turned in right away taking showers and resting. That was good because they would be ready tomorrow for whatever came their way.

He took a shower and fell naked on his bed. Even though he was dead tired, he couldn’t sleep. Thoughts of Jaclyn ran through his mind. She was alright, he was sure of it. Next time things might not go so well. Why had they taken such a risk? In an emergency she was all they had.

Finally, hours later, he fell into a troubled sleep. He chased Jaclyn in his dreams. Would he ever catch her and make her his? Morning came and it wasn’t good. His stomach rumbled asking to be fed. Would she be there waiting for him as she usually was?

The room was full, and Gertie and Darby sat at the head of the table. Jaclyn sat across from him as usual. She looked ready for whatever Gertie had planned. The young witch had adjusted since she’d arrived and now seemed capable of handling anything thrown at her. It still bothered him that they were throwing so much at her. They all ate well so they would have the energy they needed. These missions seemed to get ever harder.

Before they were completely done, Gertie began to speak. Most of the missions fell on their shoulders. The others mostly guarded the wall and the gates. He wondered what that was all about. At first, he’d thought Jaclyn couldn’t transport large groups, but she could now.

I have a mission for your group again. Gertie placed a map on the table. This is where they moved many of yesterdays prisoners. Get whoever you can out safely.

Everyone finished and gathered round Jaclyn. It was a full group today with ten wolves, him and Jaclyn. They were ready as they’d ever be when she flashed them away. The screams were horrific as prisoners were being punished for not escaping. At least that was how he saw things. These guards were terrible monsters.

Because of the noise, they didn’t see them until they were right there. His males didn’t leave them alive to torture anyone else. Jaclyn flashed the prisoner’s group by group with them being last. It was tiring, but a successful mission. His guys were beginning to
