Parables of Fire - Tiffany Buckner

    Introduction (Note from the Author)

    Dear awesome child of God,

First and foremost, let me thank you for purchasing Parables of Fire. This book is a collection of my most popular quotes from January of 2017 up until April of 2019.

Why am I re-sharing the quotes? I, for one, believe that wisdom, knowledge and revelation should never be discarded. Knowledge is the infant stage of revelation, so each word that God breathes starts off as a combination of letters that, when read, produces a sound. This sound is familiar or identifiable to both the natural and the spirit realm. This stage is called hearing. In Matthew 11:15, Jesus said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Of course, many would argue that 99% of the people on the planet Earth have ears, so what is it that Jesus was saying? In layman's terms, He was simply saying that everyone (believer and Gentile) who wants to hear the gospel, let that person hear, understand and receive the gospel. Let's face it: not every believer wants to hear every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and not every unbeliever wants to avoid or discredit what God is saying. Jesus was addressing His sheep. These are the people who want more than just enough information to get them to the cross, but they have chosen to follow Christ past the cross, meaning, they have crucified the lusts of the flesh and have chosen to empty themselves before the Lord so He can fill them up and use them. In John 10:27, He identifies these sheep (followers) by saying, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. The key word here is follow.

As the reader matures, each word that is revisited begins to take on a whole new sound, one that isn't necessarily audible to the ears, but a sound that reaches and reshapes the soul (mind, will and emotions) of a man. This is called transformation. Romans 12:2 says it this way, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. When information reaches this stage, it becomes what we refer to as understanding. Understanding is revelation in the puberty stage, meaning, it can produce good results, but there's still more to each word that has not yet been revealed. Understanding is just another point on the mountain of God, whereas revelation is the highest peak. Revelation is the revealing of wisdom; it is the peak of understanding. It is produced when a single word has been chewed up until every ounce of its meaning is broken down in such a way that even an infant can understand it.

The school system has taught us word comprehension, so we often have to read a message multiple times before we can stop reading and start hearing. What does this mean? It means that word comprehension, while necessary, is like taking a big chunk of steak and putting it into your mouth. We've learned to identify what we're eating, but many of us have not learned to chew each word until we are able to extract the revelation from it and break it down for others to receive. When we are able to break each word down and feed it to others, we are in the stage of revelation. This is similar to what a professional food taster does. Food tasters use their noses and their taste buds to identify the science behind everything they eat. Professional food tasters can tell you pretty much every seasoning found in any given food if they smell and chew it long enough. Food tasters taste food that has been prepared for others in order to determine if the food is safe for digestion. This is the final stage. Psalm 34:8 reads, O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Personally, I've both tasted and seen that the Lord is good, so I'm able to share with you what God has shared with me. Nevertheless, each shared revelation may have a deeper meaning in your life. In short, this means it can still be chewed. Think about a mother who chews up the food she's about to feed her infant. She puts this food in the infant's mouth, and even though she's broken it down, the baby doesn't just swallow the food. With no teeth in his or her mouth, the infant will still proceed to move his or her mouth in a chewing motion until the infant feels that the food is safe to swallow. This is an instinctual act designed to help preserve the life of the child. The child was simply learning to do what he or she would someday be required to do on his or her own. Again, this means that everything that has been broken down for me to understand may have deeper revelation to you.

Lastly, I believe this book will teach you to properly study the Bible. All too often, we read the Bible, but we don't understand the Word of God. This means that we break Jesus down into syllables and we've learned to sound-off His name and pronounce each word that He's spoken, but we have not yet tasted and discovered how good He is.

Every time you come across a quote that captures your attention in a good or bad way, pray about it and write down what that quote means to you. After that, ask yourself this question: what filter am I using when pondering this quote? Am I filtering it with the Word of God? Am I filtering it through my experiences? Am I filtering it through my desires? Am I filtering it through my culture? It is always important to find the filter so that you won't filter out the very things you need for growth. Use this same strategy when reading the Bible, taking the time to first pray for understanding.

Anyhow, I pray that this book blesses you and that you get the most out of it.

    Sincerely yours in Christ,

    Tiffany Buckner

It is easier to change a seven-dollar bill than it is to change a man. It is easier to change a twelve-dollar bill than it is to change a woman who thinks she has what it takes to change a man.

    Parable of Fire 014

    Parable of Fire 019

Some guy tells you that he wouldn't marry a woman he's never had sex with and then, he pauses to see your reaction. Remember this: Sex is not a dance between the genitalia; it is a dance of the hearts. It is intimacy. What he's saying is he can't dance because he doesn't know the rhythm of holiness,
