    MOLLY & MAGNUM

Molly and Magnum are very attached to each other. They have been raised together. They are best friends. Molly is a Blue-And-Gold Macaw and Magnum is a Great Dane. Great Danes are huge! Magnum weighs 175 pounds. He weighs as much as a human! Magnum's father weighed 200 pounds! Now that is a big boy. The male Great Danes weigh a lot more than the females.

Molly talks to Magnum all the time because macaws can talk! Molly has learned how to say many words. Molly can even say, Magnum. Molly loves Magnum, and they play together all the time. They keep each other company during the day while their owner is at work. They have been together for ten years.

Mindy bought Molly from a breeder in Oklahoma. Mindy was so excited to finally bring Molly home. Molly was hand-fed and hand-raised by the breeder. She was very tame and so gentle.

The breeder called Mindy and said, You better come over right now! Molly is hatching out of her egg! Mindy rushed over to the breeder's house so she could watch Molly hatch out of her egg. Mindy got there just in time to see it. That is when she fell in love with Molly. She took several pictures and even recorded a video. It was so exciting! After Molly hatched out of her egg, Mindy went to the breeder's house to visit as often as she could. She was able to hold Molly when she was just a few days old.

Mindy had always wanted a macaw. She even dreamed about owning one. Now her dream was coming true! She had always thought macaws were beautiful.

Mindy's house was full of fun and excitement now that she had Molly and Magnum. Mindy lived by herself and would get very lonely at times. Now, Mindy was never lonely or sad. Mindy had so much fun playing with Molly and Magnum. Mindy was teaching Molly new words. Molly is very smart and loves to talk. They both make Mindy laugh all the time.

Mindy always takes Magnum for a walk every night after she gets home from work. Everyone in the entire neighborhood loves to see Magnum when he is outside. The smaller children always come up to Mindy and ask her if they can ride Magnum like a horse! They beg her saying, Please.

Macaws are members of the parrot family. They have large powerful beaks that can easily crack nuts and seeds. They also have beautiful long tails. They like a lot of attention and love to have their heads scratched. They also like cuddling. Macaws like to chew, so you have to give them plenty of toys to play with and to chew on. The Blue-And-Gold Macaws have five colors: yellow, blue, black, white and green.

One day, Mindy had to call a repairman to her house because her washer quit working. The repairman came and fixed Mindy's washer.

Late that night Mindy and Magnum were upstairs sleeping, while Molly was downstairs sleeping in her cage. The repairman came back to their house and broke in the back door! He had a cage with him and grabbed Molly. He shoved Molly in the cage. Molly started screaming! Then Molly screamed, Magnum! He took off running out the back door with her. Magnum had heard the burglar break in, and he also heard Molly screaming his name. Magnum took off racing down the stairs and chased after the burglar. There was no way Magnum would let this burglar steal his sweet best friend Molly. Magnum caught up to the burglar and pounced
