Description
Plant medicine has been around for thousands of years. The healing effects of many herbs have shown a profound efficacy in healing many ailments that pharmaceuticals haven’t. So, if medicinal herbs are so powerful, why are we not using plant medicine in our daily lives? Why are so many relying on the medicine from pharmaceutical companies? This week, I am so fortunate to talk to my good friend Dr. Maya Shetreat-Klein MD. Maya has an absolutely unique angle to this point because she is an actual MD and a herbalist and she has found a way to build a bridge between the two very different world. (Note. I am actually a huge fan of and that I love talking about, but I haven't really broached these topics before in connection with my work. I wil explain more why in the podcast. I will also share some of my own experiences with entheogenic plant medicine and let you in on what I derived from those experiences.) With that said, I hope you will enjoy this podcast. In this podcast, you’ll learn: What indigenous cultures say is the cause of disease The absolute best plant medicine to counter depression The most powerful plant medicine to prevent deaths from addiction What spirituality is and why it is important The dangers of using plant medicine Why some plant medicine is dangerous to some people Why there is a high suicide rate amongst physicians
