Description

Vick Tipnes was born in London, England and immigrated to Florida as a young boy with his Family. He always knew that he wanted to be an Entrepreneur from a very young age. He gave college a shot, but after 6 months he decided to drop out and pursue his goals. Vick then struggled through various businesses that he started and sold, but didn’t really reach his full potential, when compared to the image he had in his mind. It wasn’t until he was 35 years old that he really woke up and realized that he needed to truly invest in himself if he was going to become anything in life. Once that ball dropped for him, everything changed. He took massive action to learn and educate himself as much as he could. He became obsessed with bettering himself, and invested every dollar he. At the time he had little or no money, he didn’t even have a sofa, but he had belief in himself. He started Blackstone in 2012; his purpose was to help as many people as he could, through better cost, access and quality. He started this business from a 400 sq.ft office, with no revenue, one employee and a loan from an investor. Today he has over 30 employees and is a multi-million dollar revenue company. He has grown into a national company that does business in over 38 states. In This Episode: The importance of having a scalable business. Why working on yourself is pivotal to success. How familiarity with a vertical can reveal a business opportunity. The timeframe to profitability. The importance of paying your employees first. The importance of learning to observe. The difference between entrepreneur and business owner. The talent to be a CEO, what is it?   Vick's Favorite Quote: "Never regret yesterday, life is in you today and you make your tomorrow."
