On this week’s Five Minute Friday I talk to you all about elastin! As we age, our skin inevitably loses volume and begins to droop. I can’t stress enough, the importance of replacing lost facial volume when it comes to warding off signs of aging. Your skin is like a rubber band, over time it begins to lose the shape that it originally had, making you look droopy, tired, and aged. Using products, that contain hyaluronic acid (an ingredient contained in many of our fillers) is a great way to hydrate and bring life back to the face. Hyaluronic acid will restore volume and hydrate the skin while filling in fine lines and wrinkles. I talk all about different procedures that I incorporate into my patients beauty plans to help them age gracefully. I discuss non-invasive treatments like micro-needling and radio-frequency skin tightening which have become popular in recent years due to their efficacy. One of my favorite things to discuss is the science behind injectables, skincare, and preventive aging.
