Description
Matt and Scott sit down with Uncle Rip at his house in Wichita Falls to reminisce about life growing up in the Falls in the 1970's, including the infamous tornado which brought legendary strength coach Bill Starr to town. Rip recounts his early encounters with Starr as a young, naive fitness enthusiast. Matt shares a chance meeting with a man named John Bennett, who held a local deadlift record for nearly ten years before it was broken - by Mark Rippetoe. Rip recounts his childhood memories of Bennett, who served as both Rip's schoolbus driver and a early role model.
