The Central Arava Regional Council is located in southern Israel, adjacent to Jordan and enjoys a peaceful border. The area is comprised of 5 Moshavim (agricultural communities), a regional Center and an eco-tourism community. (2500 forein workers, 500 trainees)

The agricultural industry includes 490 farms that use some of the most sophisticated agricultural methods in the world to cultivate 30,000 dunams.

Study tours in selected farms Trips to Israeli tourist sites Participation during Regional Agricultural Activities The Students perform a research project on the farm in which they live in. The project culminates in presentation of the research by the student to the class.

Future Plans of AICAT

Increasing the number of trainees in the long term program to 650 by 2012. Forming cooperation with additional countries. Developing an international unique program for a bachelor's degree in Agriculture with the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University, Volcani Center (Agriculture Research Organization), Ben-Gurion University and Arava R&D.
