Ata Vissi Buddha Pooja

The pooja is the expression of gratitude to the Buddha and the Boa tree that
provided shelter for the attainment of enlightenment. Sri Lankan Buddhists
maintained this tradition when the right branch of the original Bodhi tree was
brought to Sri Lanka and planted as the Sri Maha Bodhi at Anuradhapura.
This document was prepared to assist you to conduct a Ata Vissi Buddha Pooja
by yourself . Weekly recital of these gatha will continue to bring merit to you
and your family .
May the merit from this creation be credited to all our parents who gave birth
and guided us in this world.
