MICHAEL FARADAY- Work, Finish, Publish.

Michael Faraday, well-known scientist, was one of the most influential scientists of the 19th century and without exaggerating, the greatest experimenter scientist of all time. Through his skills, concentration and his oratory abilities developed in Chemistry and Physics the building blocks of many of today's popular technologies. His work on electromagnetic field theory did the greatest change in our conception of the reality since Newton. Faraday was born in a small town called Newington Butts, Scotland on 22nd September 1791. Despite being a devout christian of a small sect in Scotland, the Sandemanians, he rarely talked about religion during his public lectures, but the religion really did influence the way in which he interpreted and analyzed nature. Moreover, the most memorable fact of Faraday's life is that he had only received a basic formal education because his family was not well off. When he was 14, while he was working with a bookbinder for seven years, he educated himself by reading books of many scientific subjects. He had only a minimal understanding of maths, but he was still able to express some scientific concepts in a clear way to understand. Faraday most popular invention was the electric motor, besides, he discovered the laws of electrolysis, coined terms such as electrode, cathode, anode and ion and invented electromagnetic rotary devices. He also worked in chemistry, discovering chemical substances such as benzene, inventing the system of oxidization numbers, and liquefying gases. For the science world, he is also remembered for popularizing science. He had a schedule of lectures on Friday evenings and these lectures popularized many advances made by nineteenth century scientists. He died at his house at Hampton Court on August 25th 1867 aged 75 years. Due to his passion for science and dedication to work will be always admired. As he said at one time, concentration, discrimination, organization, innovation and communication are the keys for success. When a young student asked him the secret of his success as a scientific investigator, he said: 'The secret is comprised in three words Work, Finish, Publish.'
