Councillor Morris congratulates St Pauls Boxing club on their latest Boxing Tournament I would like to congratulate St Pauls Boxing Club who ran a hugely successful boxing tournament last Saturday in their new boxing facility in Kenyon Street. Boxers from Ashton Albion Manchester, Bantry, Thurles, St Cronins Roscrea, Ballina Mayo, Cashel , Corinthians and Our Lady Of Lourdes made a great nights entertainment for the 150 people in Attendance. St Pauls Boxing club have become a huge success story in their short existence and the latest initiative shows their ability to bring much needed sports tourists to the town with many of the boxers and supporters staying in the town overnight. The travelling team from Manchester also took in their first Hurling game as they went to see the Nenagh Eire Og and Toomevara minor match in picturesque Dolla which was resplendent in Winter sunshine. Its clubs like St Pauls that has put Nenagh on the map for sports tourism events. Well done to all the volunteers in the club who worked so hard to make it happen. Cllr. Samie Morris
