1. Do solve any ten questions. (40) (a) Ram purchased 200 bulbs for Rs.10 each. 5 bulbs were fused them and remaining bulbs were sold at Rs. 12 each. Find his gain or loss percent. (b) The cost of 2 dozen oranges is Rs. 48. Find the cost of 180 oranges. (c) Find the amount on Rs 15000 for 3 years at the rate of 8% per annum. (d) Find the compound interest on Rs.5000 for 1year at 8% per annum compounded half-yearly. (e) Find the difference between simple interest and compound interest on Rs. 10000 for 3 years at 5% per annum. (f) A shopkeeper allows a discount of 20% to his customer and still gain 20% . Find the marked price of article which cost him Rs.620. (g) A can do a piece of work in 10 days and B can do it in 16 days. With the help of C they do this work in 4 days. In how many day C can do this work alone. (h) One tap can be filled a tank in 12 hours and by another can filled in 8 hours. If both tap are opened together in the tank. How much time they take fill it completely. (i) A camp of 200 men had provision of food for 45 days. 100 men more arrived in the camp. Find the number of days which the food will last. (j) A shopkeeper buys notebooks 10 for Rs.400 and sells at 8 for Rs.400. Find his gain or lose percent. (k) The cost of 15 metres of cloth is Rs.795. What length of cloth can be bought for Rs. 2650. (l) 45 cows can graze a field in 13 days. How many cows graze the same field in 9 days. Q2. Factorize the following. (6) (a) 9x2 25y2 (b) 6x2 19x + 15 (c) 16a 2 b 2 - 8a 2 b2 + b2 Q3. Four angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio of 2: 3: 5: 8. Find the each angle of the quadrilateral. (4) OR The sum of 2 digit number is 7. If 27 is added the number its digit are interchanged. Find the original number.(4)
