    Name of monument: Monastery of Kaisariani. Location: Athens, (37o 57 38.47N, 23o 47 52.71E). Date of construction: 11th century. Architect if known: The Byzantines. Description: The monastery lies at a short distance to the east Athens. It is enclosed by a high wall with two gates. The catholicon is a cross in square, four-column church, with a dome.

    Painter: Theodosis, 5 years old.
