For Pain: 1. Mefenamic Acid (Ponstan SF) 500 mg/cap Take one capsule every 6 to 8 hours as needed for Pain, on a full stomach 2. Celecoxib (Celebrex) 400 mg/cap Take one capsule once a day as needed for Pain 3. Celecoxib (Celebrex) 200 mg/cap Take one capsule every 12 hours as needed for Pain 4. Etoricoxib (Arcoxia) 120 mg/cap Take one capsule once a day as needed for Pain 5. Paracetamol 500 mg/tab Take one tablet every 4 hours as needed for Pain 6. Paracetamol 650 mg/tab Take one tablet every 6 hours as needed for Pain 7. Paracetamol + Tramadol (Algesia) - Take one tablet every 6 to 8 hours as needed for Pain 8. Tramadol 50 mg/cap - Take one capsule every 8 hours as needed for Pain

For Muscle pain (Muscle relaxants): 1. Eperisone (Myonal) 50 mg/tab Take one tablet every 8 hours for 3 to 5 days 2. Paracetamol + Orphenadrine (Norgesic Forte) Take one tablet every 8 hours for 3 to 5 days

For Fever: 1. Paracetamol 500 mg/ tab Take one tablet every 4 hours as needed for Fever (Temp. > 37.7 C) 2. Paracetamol 650 mg/ tab Take one tablet every 6 hours as needed for Fever (Temp. > 37.7 C)

For Colds: 1. Phenylephrine + Paracetamol (No Drowse Decolgen) Take one tablet every 6 hours for 3 days 2. Nafarin A - Take one tablet every 6 hours for 3 to 5 days For those with Hypertension 3. Sinupret Take one tablet 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days

For Acid Peptic Disease: Treatment is usually one to two weeks 1. Famotidine 20 mg/tab (H2 Bloc) Take one tablet 30 minutes before breakfast and 30 minutes before dinner 2. Ranitidine 150 mg/tab Take one tablet 30 minutes before breakfast and 30 minutes before dinner 3. Ranitidine 300 mg/tab Take one tablet at bedtime 4. Esomeprazole (Nexium) 40 mg/tab Take one tablet once a day (30 minutes before breakfast) 5. Pantoprazole (Pantoloc) 40 mg/tab Take one tablet once a day (30 minutes before breakfast) Add-Ons: 1. Domperidone (Motilium) 10 mg/tab Take one tablet 30 minutes before meals 3 times a day for 7 days 2. Itopride (Ganaton) 50 mg/tab Take one tablet 30 minutes before meals 3 times a day for 7 days 3. Al + Mg Hydroxide + Simeticone (Maalox Plus) Take 30 mL upto 3 times a day as needed for persistent abdominal pain For Pregnant: 1. Al + Mg Hydroxide (Maalox) Take 30 mL upto 3 times a day as needed for persistent abdominal pain

Acute Gastroenteritis: Assess hydration status always 1. Oral Rehydration Salts (Hydrite) Dissolve contents of one sachet in one glass of water and drink as needed for hydration 2. Racecadotril (Hidrasec) 100 mg/cap Take one capsule 3 times a day until stools are formed 3. Pinaverium Br (Eldicet) 50 mg/tab Take one tablet every 8 hours as needed for abdominal pain/ spasm

Antibiotics: 1. Cloxacillin 500 mg/cap Take one capsule every 6 hours (round the clock) for 7 days 2. Clindamycin 300 mg/cap (Dalacin C) - Take one capsule every 6 hours (round the clock) for 7 days 3. Co-Amoxiclav 625 mg/tab - Take one tablet every 12 hours (round the clock) for 7 days (Augmentin / Natravox) 4. Sultamicillin 750 mg/tab (Unasyn) - Take one tablet every 12 hours (round the clock) for 7 days 5. Ofloxacin 200 mg/tab (Inoflox) Take one tablet every 12 hours (for 3 to 5 days) 6. Cefuroxime 500 mg/tab - Take one tablet every 12 hours for 7 days 7. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg/tab Take one tablet every 12 hours (for 5 to 7 days) For Infectious Diarrhea 8. Secnidazole 500 mg/tab Take 4 tablets as a single dose; nothing follows

For Urethritis: 1. Cefixime 200 mg/tab Take 2 tablets as a single dose; nothing follows 2. Doxicycline 100 mg/tab Take one tablet every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days

For Chicken Pox (Varicella zoster): 1. Valacyclovir 500 mg/tab Take 2 tablets 3 times a day for 7 days Add-Ons: Hydroxyzine (Iterax) 10 mg/tab Take one tablet upto 3 times a day as needed for itchiness

For Herpes Zoster: For Neuropathic pain Pregabalin 75 mg/cap (Lyrica) Take one capsule every 12 hours as needed for pain

For Throat pain: 1. Hexetidine Gargle (Bactidol) Gargle with 30 mL 3 times a day after meals for 7 days 2. Benzydamine lozenges (Difflam) Dissolve one lozenge on tongue every 3 to 4 hours as needed for throat pain 3. Benzydamine gargle (Difflam) Gargle with 30 mL every 4 hours as needed for throat pain 4. Benzydamine spray (Difflam) Spray 2 times to throat every 4 hours as needed for throat pain

For Allergy: 1. Loratidine 10 mg/tab Take one tablet once a day for 5 days 2. Levocetirizine 5 mg/tab (Xyzal) Take one tablet once a day for 5 days 3. Hydroxyzine (Iterax) 10 mg/tab Take one tablet upto 3 times a day as needed for itchiness OR Hydroxyzine (Iterax) 25 mg/tab Take one tablet at bedtime or once a day as needed for itchiness * Always warn patients that Hydroxyzine can cause drowsiness For severe allergy: Methyprednisolone 16 mg/tab Take one tablet 2 times a day for 5 days

For Dizziness: 1. Betahistine (Serc) 24 mg/tab Take one tablet 2 times a day as needed for dizziness 2. Cinnarizine (Stugeron) 75 mg/tab Take one tablet once a day for severe dizziness

Hemorrhoids: 1. Dafflon 500 mg/tab Take two tablets 2 times a day for 3 to 5 days 2. Faktu Suppository Insert one suppository into rectum 2 to 3 times a day 3. Faktu Ointment Apply ointment to anus, 2 to 3 times a day

Gout: 1. Colchicine 500 mcg/tab Take 2 tablets as single dose then take one tablet every 2 to 3 hours until relief of pain is achieved; HOLD intake if there is vomiting or diarrhea
