Discussion of Safeway concerns and improvement ideas lead by Mr. Moody and Ms. Smith o Product selection and community service o Loitering, courtesy clerks, solicitation; suggestion to partner with MPD o 98% of employees are part of the community o lighting of outdoor area o cleanliness has improved but employees will run you over o question as to Safeways store rating o D. L. Humphrey from Councilmember Alexanders office offered report card for Safeway o Freshness and quality of produce o Training: What is the process and timeframe for evaluation; suggestion of exposure of employees to other Safeways o Writing to the district manager at Safeway o Staff development o Parameters for cart usage o Mr. Muckle? Community outreach Donations for public schools Motion by Commissioner Carr to write a letter stating our position on the Benning Road Post Office, seconded by Commissioner Thompson o 4 in favor, motion passed Margaret Lobot shared info on selective service and asked for ANC to write letter of support Torey Hollingsworth introduced herself as new Benning/Deanwood Neighboring Rep for Greater DC Cares Sharif Salim shared info on martial arts and boxing programs and opening of Washington Education Foundation middle school.
