Save the date -- Media lunch with Mayor Marianne Matichuk on Dec. 14
Dear Media; Youve had a long year sitting through city council, committee and budget meetings -- eight 10 sometimes 12 hours a week! And does your boss really appreciate it? Well, rest assured Mayor Marianne Matichuk does! In appreciation for the hard work local journalists do, and in the interests of continuing an excellent working relationship, the mayor would like to treat media representatives to lunch. This is an opportunity to leave your cameras, recorders and notebooks at the door and have an informal chat with Mayor Matichuk about well, whatever you like. (Helpful Hint shes not a sports fan.) A more formal media opportunity will follow lunch outside the boardroom around 1 p.m. If you or someone from your office is able to make it, please RVSP to me (along with any special dietary needs) by Dec. 5.
