VECTORS
A river is flowing through the forest at different rates due the change of width. A paper ship (the orange point) is released from the starting point. Each square has a 5m side length. The red spot is where you are standing (origin 0,0). Each time the river changes direction, is a different segment. All segments are covered in the same time, 30 minutes each. 1) Express all the vector equations of the position against time ( r = r0 + vt) for each sement. E.g. the first segment has the equation: r1= (-8,6)+t(6,-2). 2) Obtain all the speeds in m/min in each segment. 3) The average speed of the whole river. 4) Locate with coordinates and mark two points where the paper ship will be at 25 m from you. 5) Locate with coordinates and mark (approximately) where would the paper ship will be after: Time 45 minutes 77 minutes 100 minutes 132 minutes 170 minutes Position

From the previous table: 1.- Make the frequency table. 2.- Graph an histogram of the frequency table. 3.- Create a grouped table with 6 intervals that have the same width 4.- Make the box & whisker graph 5.- Obtain the value of each statistic parameter: Mean IQR Mode Lf Median Uf Q1 Variance Q3
Standard Deviation

IQR = Q3-Q1 Lf=Q1-1.5(IQR) Uf=Q3+-1.5(IQR)

STATISTICS
In a mystery box there are 4 balls. These are marked with the letters P, E, H and O. Make a tree diagram with all the combinations while extracting the balls. Then obtain the probability of obtaining: 1. A two letters word. 2. A three letters word. 3. A four letters word. The words must be real, in English. 4. The probability of obtaining the word HOPE. 5. The probability of not obtaining a real word.
