Sam Wilmer Professor Suzanne Ingram English 1103 20 September 2012 Annotated Bibliography Cover Letter Draft One

The hardest part of doing the first draft of the Annotated Bibliography was skimming the resource for the valuable information. Once I had the information I needed the annotations were not difficult to write at all. Evaluating the sources was something new to me. In the past I have mentally evaluated sources but never written about it. It was not necessarily a challenge it just made me stop and think. I will have trouble finding problems with many of the sources I use because my topic will have more articles done by scholarly journals and government programs, which were two of my sources. The summaries of my sources are done pretty well. It was difficult to keep them brief, especially the Plan for Mental Health. by the CDC. Its the United States plan for the nations mental health, a little bit difficult to summarize in a paragraph. At the moment I dont know if I have the insight into this topic to evaluate any of these sources. Im not sure I will use the CDC source later on, but I wanted an idea of how our government deals with public mental health. The credibility of all my sources isnt relevant, I think at least. One of them is a government plan, one is an effective psychological study, and the last is a scholarly journal written by respected authors who have their doctorates. I think my best annotation is the one summarizing the CDCs plan for mental health. Overall my annotations could use some work, but the summaries were well done I thought.
