Isolating the Problem: Start with the easiest problem first. Follow a sequential method in your troubleshooting. Document each step you take in isolating the problem. Ask further isolating questions to narrow the range of possibilities for the cause of the problem. Make sure that the proper version of hardware and software are being used. Swap parts as necessary to determine the cause of the problem. Challenge your own assumptions.
