ISSUES IDENTIFIED: a) Low quality of output: The firm has been witnessing a high level of stock returns and

one of Sandras major clients threatened to cancel their order b) i. ii. Inefficient handling and wastage of resources: Expensive equipment is getting damaged due to careless use Increased incidence of careless wastage of materials

iii. Supervisor is spending large time on dealing with issues rather than maintaining the quality of the garments c) Dissatisfaction among workers due to which low morale is prevailing

CAUSES OF THE ISSUES: a) i. Lack of motivation among the workers (can be explained by Equity Theory): Workers are upset that rewards are not as per their performance

ii. There is a payment of bonus to all machinists in a similar way, even to those who produces below quality garments - hence there is unrest amongst them iii. iv. b) c) d) The performance linked incentive which they are getting seems inadequate to them Unsatisfied employees leading to low productivity Supervisor is overloaded and that is affecting overall production Poor interpersonal relationship of the officers with workers There is lack of coordination among workers
