The network elements (NEs) in the uBro solution and their functions are as follows: UAP2816: It incorporates the functions of the NodeB and some functions of the RNC. It performs the UMTS radio access functions such as radio signal modulation and demodulation, radio resource management, and power control. AG: Configured on the intranet of a mobile operator, it converges and manages services of the UAP2816 and also performs routing towards the UMTS CN. AP manager: It provides network management functions for the UAP2816. AHR: Configured on the intranet of a mobile operator, it stores and manages the location information and subscription information of the UAP2816. IP clock server: It provides the UAP2816 with an IP clock. Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA): It performs authentication for the AP based on the EAP-AKA and EAP-SIM. Security Gateway (SeGW): It provides the IP Security Protocol (IPSec) Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunneling and standard firewall functions.

UAP2816 Body
Product Architecture
The UAP2816 has a case structure. It contains a built-in RF subsystem, baseband subsystem, transport subsystem, control subsystem, and clock subsystem. The UAP2816 is configured with two Ethernet ports and built-in RF antennas. The UAP2816 features high integration, low power consumption, small footprint, stylish appearance, and light weight.
Power Adapter
The UAP2816 supports the AC power supply function. To use the AC power supply, the ePico3801B needs to be configured with the AC/DC power adapter. The AC/DC power adapter converts the 110 V AC/220 V AC power supply to the 12 V DC power supply, which is used by the as its working power supply.

3.1 Overview
The UAP2816 provides an operation and maintenance system that supports both the web mode and the Graphical User Interface (GUI) mode. The UAP2816 supports customized human-machine interfaces. Maintenance personnel can use the AP manager to remotely manage and maintain all the UAP2816s on the network in a centralized manner, or they can locally log in to the WebUI to operate and maintain a local UAP2816. In addition, they can use the local maintenance terminal (LMT) to perform message tracing on interfaces, performance monitoring, and equipment commissioning. Figure 3-1 shows the operation and maintenance system of the UAP2816. Figure 3-1 Operation and Maintenance (OM) system of the UAP2816

Through the AP manager, the maintenance personnel can subscribe to alarms reported by the UAP2816, query the history alarms, and query and monitor active alarms. The UAP2816 supports realtime reporting of alarms. The maintenance personnel can log in to the UAP2816 through the AP manager to view key parameter settings and alarm information, which helps handle the alarm and rectify the fault. Through the LMT, the maintenance personnel can perform interface tracing, signaling tracing, and fault diagnosis for the UAP2816 to locate faults quickly. They can also save the tracing data as files, which can be reviewed through Trace Viewer.
