Stromboli

1 Cup of water (110 degrees) 1 Tbl. Yeast 1 tsp. Sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 - 3 C. Flour First, dissolve yeast in water that has been warmed. This will activate the yeast. Stir this with a whisk. Then add to the water mixture, sugar and salt. Whisk this again. Pour this in your kitchen aid mixer. Next add 2 cups of flour. Mix it with a dough hook. Add more flour if needed. Knead the dough with hands.. Roll bread into rectangle. Sprinkle with 1 cups of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, or combination). Season with oregano and/or basil if desired. Top with your favorite combination of: spinach, green pepper, onion, garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms, sausage or pepperoni. Roll up from long side. Pinch seam carefully as filling with ooze out if seam comes open. Place on greased jelly roll pan. Let rise until doubled (about 1 1/2 hours). Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Let stromboli set for 10-15 minutes before slicing to serve. This may successfully be completely prepared in advance, frozen and reheated at a later date to serve.
