Snickerdoodles

1 cup butter or margerine, softened 1 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 2/3 cups unsifted Pillsbury flour* 1 teaspoon cream of tartar teaspoon soda teaspoon salt Topping: 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Preheat oven to 400. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into balls, using rounded teaspoon of dough for each. Combine sugar and cinnamon; roll balls of dough in sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Yields 44 cookies.
