USER INTERFACE TABLETIZATION

ABSTRACT :
The use of tablet devices has become more common and it is used for replacing the PCs with same functionalities. The tablet devices are movable and portable. Cost and power consumption is less. Keyboard and touch pad are in-built in tablet PCs. In the areas like hospitals it would be very much convenient to use a tablet rather than noting down the information in the notepad and updating later in the PCs. This might cause a manual error and also it is time consumption. In this project replacement of existing desktop PCs with tablet device with minimum usage areas like wards, doctor OPs and sub stores is carried out. In hospitals, desktops typically consist of a tower case that contains the computer's main hardware components, such as the motherboard, CPU and hard drive which is connected to monitor for displaying the user interface. Since it is not movable, it is difficult to update the patient details instantly. The proposed project idea is to redesign the compatibility of set of software that work on desktop PCs to tablet PCs, so that all applications will work on tablet pcs. This can be implemented using android platform and is expected to reduce the usage power consumption and time consumption
