President: Charlene Ochogo Active Members: 40 Purpose: The UF Undergraduate Mock Trial Team is an educational organization, which instructs members in the procedures and practices of competitive mock trial in order to compete in regional and national tournaments. More affectionately known as the LitiGators, the Trial Team is an amazing educational opportunity and offers participating students a unique chance to enrich their collegiate experience. Mock trial helps students improve critical thinking, oral argument and debate, public speaking. Students also get to develop knowledge of legal practices and courtroom procedure. Activities: The Undergraduate Mock Trial Team has been competing in the Open Round Championship Series Tournament (ORCS) for years and is projected to send two teams to this years tournament. The tournament will be held at Furman University in South Carolina. This is the first level of the national competition in the American Mock Trial Association. Funding will contribute towards gas and hotel. Proviso: This allocation will exhaust at the end of the fiscal year June 30th, 2013
