The study was conducted to determine the effect of biodiesel on the exhaust emission of diesel engine. Related literature and other related topics were gathered at the RSC compound and Infoshop internet caf while the experiment was conducted at RGF Emission Center, in Poctoy, Odiongan, Romblon from January to March 2008. Experimental method of research was used, and the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA F-test) was the statistical tool used in the study. Five thousand four hundred ninety milliliters of diesel fuel and five hundred ten milliliters of coco methyl ester were used in the study. The testing machine used was a diesel engine with maximum rating output of 8 horsepower, 60 hertz, running at 2600 revolution per minute with 70 kilogram gross weight. The result of the study showed that there is a significant decrease in the mean opacity (k value) in the emission test as the percentages of biodiesel (CME) blended to fuel is increased. Using the Analysis of Variance F-test the result of the study also shows that there is a significant difference among the opacity value obtained.
